Really liked it. Easy, smooth, like Meiomi — 8 years ago
So I've come down off the Silver Oak high, and settled into this Oregon Pinot. This is a goto by-the-glass option for me at J. Marks. Not quite as fruit-forward as its competitor Meiomi, but really expressive flavor here. Markedly different from the CA North Coast Pinots. Im a fan. Paired with Black Diamond Aged Cheddar. — 8 years ago
I've really begun to trust Trader Joe's recommendations in wines. This little gem is delicious right out of the bottle. At half the cost of a MEIOMI or a LA CREMA. Great choice. — 9 years ago
Spicy finish, similar general flavors as Meiomi with the darker flavors forward. — 9 years ago
From a pure taste perspective, great Pinot if you let it open up. For the price (this was $30) I prefer Meiomi at $18. — 9 years ago
See Meiomi. — 9 years ago
A true entry level benchmark of a Californian Pinot Noir done in the Burgundian style.
Clear, bright, and light in Garnet exhibiting delicate aromas of red currant, lightly composted leaves, jasmine, and cinnamon.
The wine finishes dry with an ample spice, fruit, and mocha finish.
If you are looking for Meiomi or the ilk, this is NOT your wine. — 10 years ago
Ear to ear. Smile. Shout. This richness and suavete fares well among its peers: vina ardanza, maysara, gros nore and meiomi. Thanks of a lifetime to all those obsessive wine-makers. — 10 years ago
Similar to Meiomi - very nice Pinot — 11 years ago
Very nice Pinot for $16.👌🏽 My new “go to” in place of Meiomi. — 7 years ago
The empty nest is full for the weekend celebrating Haley's 22nd. She asked if we had Meiomi, umm no. This was a good way to help her understand what real pinot is all about. Berries, nice acid and well balanced. A great value. — 8 years ago
Paired with steak. Notes of Raspberry and Vanilla. If you love Meiomi you will love this more. — 9 years ago
Lighter bodied than meiomi, lighter flavors: strawberry/blackberry. Very easy to drink, great room temp but probably very good slightly chilled as well. — 9 years ago
not as good as meiomi, but very decent — 9 years ago
Bright, refreshing, not pretentious - like a nouveau should be! — 9 years ago
This one surprised me. Enjoyed very much. Been a while, I think it is lighter than meiomi — 10 years ago
Very full and balanced, more oak than the Meiomi — 10 years ago
Ruby to garnet, ripe cherries and raspberries on the nose with just a hint of spice. This is a really great Pinot for the price with really fresh red cherries and really fruity in the mouth. Similar to the Caymus Meiomi at half the price. Buy some. — 10 years ago
Had this at Le Clos in Fernindina. Unbelievable! If you like Meiomi you would love this. $42/bottle. — 11 years ago
Easy drinking pinot. Similar to Meiomi pinot in quality. — 8 years ago
very strong berry, smooth short finish. for price, prefer meiomi — 8 years ago
Continuing on with my sub-$20 exploration of grocery store Pinot Noir.
This was in the limited selection bin, meaning it won't be around for long. I had never heard of it, but guessed correctly that it was a product of @Sebastiani Vineyards. Having just written a little missive about enjoying their wines earlier, I thought why not? It's too cold to ship wine so I'm stuck with what I gots unless I get locally.
Against Meiomi, which I presume is its main competitor, this is more translucent in the glass. The strawberry notes dominate a bit more. The tannins are quite fine. Not very complex and not a long finish. Nevertheless, still a pleasant glass. — 8 years ago
One of the best Pinot Noirs I've had. Strong cherry flavors, bolder than most Pinots... — 9 years ago
Lots of Berry, vanilla, cherry- dried perhaps. Nice drinking wine. First grenache I've had. Not being a red officionado, I truly like this. Better than Meiomi. — 9 years ago
Another favorite everyday indulgence ranks right under Meiomi! — 10 years ago
Today another pinot the 2013 Elouan Pinot Noir. This wine is bottled in St. Helena, CA but I believe the grapes are sourced from Oregon. This is brought to you by the Wagner Family and along the lines of the Meiomi Pinot and in drinking it you can see the similarities in the two. The nose is weak but can still make out cherry, raspberry and a dusty soil. The palate shows me tart cherries, rasperry, sassafras, milk chocolate, creamy caramel and a floral note. There is a good medium fresh acidity, smooth tannins and a good long finish. I do like this wine and I purchased for $23.99. — 10 years ago
Unbelievable. Velvet like a fine cab. Then light red fruit to a 8 of 10 finish. Very similar to a meiomi but 3 times as flavorful. Raspberry fruits — 10 years ago

Good golly miss Molly!!! Meiomi move over. Big brother takes over!! Damn, again I am faced with loving a more expensive vino but ooh its so worth it. Melts in your mouth lovely. This wine is foreplay... for your filet mignon, New York strip or Porterhouse. Sorry not big on the long nose of some reds but occasionally deep dive.....I’m a novice to many of you wine connoisseurs am just expressing my emotional connection to the experience. — 7 years ago
