Very approachable this full bodied Southern Rhône Wine is rich, intense, wonderfully smooth with full mouth feel. Its presentation of a balanced array or fruits, aromas and tastes, it’s a delight to enjoy on a cool fall evening in the Canadian Rockies — 7 years ago
The label claims that this is a “Belgian-Style IPA” let me add with a “Canadian Attitude “. Dark golden in color and phenolic aromas of spicy herbs and yes barnyard hay this IPA is a near perfect balanced blend of Galaxy and Pacific Jade hop bitterness and malted barley sweetness producing a dry crisp taste. On a Blue Bird day in the Rockies with over 25” of fresh powder life just doesn’t get much better.
7.9% alc/vol-78 IBU this medium bodied beer is not your dad’s IPA. Cheers 🍻🇨🇦 — 7 years ago
CVed 7/8/17. Deal from Acker auction $20. Great gamey and eucalyptus and dark red fruit and leather nose. Good balance and acids and minerals on palate and long finish. Coated empty glass with earthy smell for long time. Will get more of other vineyards. 170 cases. CVed again 8/17/17. Tasting better than in the Rockies! Nose send to have more of the leather and tobacco box notes and more heat than the Rhone wines in the comp. Give it 9.0 this time. Opened 2/13/18. Yes indeed an excellent wine. Same score. — 8 years ago
Nice sweetness... reminds me of a warm summer day — 5 years ago
Passion of Sice: Bee Well in Bellaire. Very sweet and tart. Golden delicious applies and passionfruit. I do it would ve good to have 1 glass but I can imagine it would be tiring to get a whole growler — 6 years ago
New Mexico bubbles! Who knew?? Bringing a little bit of the desert sunshine to the snowy Canadian Rockies tonight. This is a super high quality bottle of bubbly copper pink rosé. Superbly dry with a mild yeasty, crab apple and orange blossom nose. Apples primarily carry over to the palate with hints of bread and white cranberry tartness. A surprisingly excellent bottle of bubbles given the unexpected origin. Recommend. — 6 years ago
A wonderful dessert wine. The Chocolate Cherry Honey flavors really come through. — 7 years ago
Reminds me of grapes (Concord) I used to eat off the vine as a kid. Slightly sweet orange creamsicle. — 7 years ago
Banana, spice, little notes of caramel & coffee. Maybe the best mead I've had! — 8 years ago
Very sweet! But I guess it is a honey mead! Lots of strong current taste, with a hint of other berries! Would definitely buy again as a dessert wine! — 8 years ago
Choke cherry mead. Such an amazing blend of tart and sweet. — 6 years ago
Up until I tasted this Redstone Meadery was the top of my favorites for traditional honey wine/mead. This mead is particularly smooth and not overly sweet. — 6 years ago
A classic Sauvignon Blanc from Napa’s oldest winery which is true to tradition, approachable, delightfully clean, crisp and refreshing. Presenting aromas of dried herbs and fruits its mouth feel is well balanced with soft hints of grapefruit, lime and passion fruit. Although, noticeable the citrus notes do not overpower the body and taste of the wine. This is a backyard sipper that’s sure to be spending the summer in the Canadian Rockies with us. Mrs A and I have been to Mexico many times and always enjoyed, the people, the sites, the food, the beaches, the adult beverages an of course the many wonderful Mexican beers. Sitting up here in the mountains on a hot summer night we can only dream of the many times we have enjoyed a Dos Equis Amber with salsa and chips. This will never be mistaken for a Canadian, but this is truly one of the most refreshing beers around on a hot summer night in the Canadian Rockies. Oh, wait is that a Mariachi band I hear in the distance? Salud 🍻🇲🇽 — 7 years ago
Refresher from west of the Rockies - a go to — 7 years ago
Full disclosure I am not a vodka drinker but on a cold snowy night in the Canadian Rockies what are a bunch of Canadians going to do but head to the Lizard Creek Lodge“Ice Bar” and enjoy vodka from Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia. I wish that I knew enough about vodka to rate this one from Kazakhstan so let’s just say it was fun. Cheers 🌬 — 7 years ago
14%. $12.99 @ Beverage World. this tastes like a plum wine with an aftertaste of smoked spice. 1 bottle gave me a good buzz but still functioning. — 8 years ago

A wonderfully refreshing Okanagan Rosé from a premier producer. Salmon in color, great fruit, clean, presenting hints of green apple, strawberries and a touch of watermelon. A winner on a blue bird evening in the Canadian Rockies. 12.9% alc/vol. Cheers 🍷🇨🇦 — 5 years ago
