This must be a great wine! I opened it for a family dinner and it all but disappeared before I could get a few ounces! Dark fruits and licorice with balanced tannins. I will have to buy more! — 6 years ago

I love French butter almost as much as I love French wine. Get you one who can do both? 😂 #pghwinefestival — 7 years ago
This was the white tasting of the day at Yangarra. On the nose, tropical fruits, melon and the softest most delicate yellow florals. Creamy month entry that is extremely elegant, nuts, powdery soft minerality, pineapple, peach, melon, citrus blend, beautiful yellow soft florals, high acidity yet mellow. Creamy style as the wine spent some extra time on lees. — 8 years ago
First wine from our first Naked Wines order. Very comparable to Phantom. — 5 years ago

2016 light and crisp. Nice summer wine. Ideal with baked cod served with tomato and black olives. — 7 years ago
Amazing. Well balanced. Amazing acidity and excellent structure. — 7 years ago
A distinct salinity makes the 2012 vintage really something special. Awesome stuff, here, but what else is to be expected from Matthew Rorick? — 7 years ago
Fairly pale color, high citrus as is to be expected, fairly well rounded. — 8 years ago
Another rare creature from Forlorn Hope. Matthew never disappoints. This is 100% Trousseau Noir from Matthew's own Rorick Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills. Like the Jura with some extra California sunshine. Juicy with a little funk and a little herbaceousness. Pours a pale copper-inflected ruby. Nose of pomegranate and blood orange peel, Campari, fennel seed, crushed granite, a rose-y floral character, and guava. Perhaps the slightest hint of brett? But not at all distracting. Palate echoes the nose pretty congruently, still pomegranate and blood orange predominating with a little more spice and mineral focus. Light bodied, medium (+) acid, and just a tiny touch of soft tannin. If you were insistent on having a red wine as an aperitif, I can't imagine one much better than this one with its herbal, slightly bitter Campari-esque edge. Drink at cellar temp. Also a great option if you want a red with a charcuterie and cheese plate. — 8 years ago

Night before Keeneland! — 6 years ago
(Catching up from 6/23 - JB’s Pig Roast) what a great treat from @Matthew Beckman. Didn’t immediately recognize this as a Pur Sang based on the old label A bit of funky cabbage on the nose to start, but this was amazingly in tact for a nearly 25 year old Sauv Blanc. Wow. — 7 years ago
Squid ink black, with stringent tannins.

Lovely Chardonnay that’s more like a Sauvignon Blanc. — 5 years ago
