Well balanced and delicious after a spring day of snowboarding! — 4 years ago
Such a nice toasty, malty red from Ancient City Brewing in St. Augustine, FL. The can says “Named after the Matanzas River, this ale pays homage to the early history of our city, when the Spanish took control of Florida from the French in a bloody conflict. Drinkable and robust, this red ale goes down as smooth as a battle against the French...unless Napoleon shows up.” 🍻 — 6 years ago

Tasty and ready to drink. Dark fruit and tannic, dusty, slight tobacco — 4 years ago
Plenty of acidic puckery happening here. Tight and round on the front, a bit fruitier compared to their Bennett Valley, and this one has much more aging potential. — 5 years ago
What a wonderfully refreshing wine! — 5 years ago
Winemaking posts at Rudd, Dominus, Chalk Hill & Matanzas Creek, David Ramey & his wife, Carla began their own label in 1996. Rich deep ruby red. Aromas of powerful dark fruit, hints of pepper and sweet spice reminiscent of a Northern Rhône. On the palate raspberry and blackberry, soft and velvety, with smoky oak, big spice on the finish which should continue to develop for several years. Very Nice! — 7 years ago
