Solid for the price point. Some funky earth and red fruit. Really well structured. Will be buying a case. — 4 years ago
Quality depth, plenty of spice, great red — 5 years ago
Alto Piemonte Nebbiolo. Gorgeous, pale-brick color. Velvety, leather, ripe black fruit, dried roses, tobacco and tar, but with high-altitude and northern Piedmont freshness, minerals, and perfumed elegance. From Flatiron Wines. — 5 years ago
Port-esque. Garnet color, rich rounded nose of dried stone fruit. Very low “mouth drying” tannic quality. — 7 years ago
Light and very enjoyable to drink. Went great with pizza — 9 years ago
Crazy crazy spice as expected from this cuvee. There are layers of tar, deep black cherry and huge minerals as well. It’s a terrific nose. Stunningly deep and aromatic 95/9.6 nose. It evolves constantly and is almost not stable it’s changing so much. Violets come into view. Also a loamy aspect. Palate is tight but oh so promising. Amazing fine grained tannins that are super velvety. So pure and love the 2014 angles. Complex and elegant with just terrific lift and brightness. Long, complex and mineral tinged finish. Sappy and pure. Really long. Awesome inner mouth aromas of sweet cherry. Balanced, pure and super sweet with air. This has massive structure and will only get better and likely demands 3-4 years in the cellar. So killer. 9.4 but I think in an hour it’s gonna be 9.4. Stunning finish.
After air this is insane. Nose is perfumed, complex and spicey. Deep violets. So good 9.5 nose. Palate is so velvety now. Great freshness and so pure. Terrific finish. Gets to every nook and cranny. — 4 years ago
Getting much better with age, needs to be decanted for at least 30 minutes — 4 years ago
Still needs some air. Great taste with some strawberry. — 5 years ago

Looking for something to pair to spaghetti all'Amatriciana tonight. Decent but the dish probably deserves a slightly richer wine, more southern Italy.
Decanted 3H, prior notes mostly apply:
Nose has spring roses, mashed tart cherry, cold tar, cold dark chocolate and brown sugar.
Palate has milk chocolate covered cherry, lightly charred wood, early season cherry, dry loam-y soil, medium tannins and a medium-long finish.
Declassified Barbaresco thanks to Italian yield limits, this wine is a total value play at ~$35.
1088 bottles produced.
Future bottles should be at least 5-8Y out, 2026-2029 for future sampling, this wine has the guts to get at least there, and then some. — 4 years ago
Great great wine. Brilliant wine. Nose of chestnut, mid season cherry, tar and roses. Juicy and so deep with wonderful cherry fruit and significant but very ripe tannins. Awesome. Long finish. A hint of rustic makes this scream for ossobucco. Long finish. Longer than it should be. — 5 years ago
Love this wine! Value for the money is outstanding. — 6 years ago
Dark but light — 8 years ago
Christmassy red wine, nose says it should be like mulled wine, but it's a dry non sweet taste — 8 years ago

Rivertti Massimo Viarivetti22 Rosato Langhe DOC 2020: Light. Bright. Balanced. Youthful flavors of strawberry, watermelon, cranberry & rhubarb. Short dry, yet refreshing finish. All in all, a beautifully-crafted, 100% Pinot Noir rosé from Piemonte and a perfect pairing for poolsides and summer days! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
