Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2016

A bit closed in but really pretty. Lots of white flower and soft stone fruit. Not as much oak/lees influence as other vintages on tasting. — 4 months ago

I agree. And I don't like most of the other Mary Taylor selections

Complex sweet spicy bold with hints of vanilla. Can’t imagine much better — 4 years ago

Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Fantastic. Perfect age. Older world. Feels and tastes like a bottle many times more expensive. — 5 years ago

Limited Edition Very Old Single Harvest Porto 2013

Beautiful jammy port. Paired with 3 kinds of cheddar and complemented beautifully. Later, paired with chocolatey Pots de Creme. Amazing! — 7 years ago

Taylor Reserve Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Really great drinking wine. Would be good with good but wouldn’t completely stand up to bigger reds. — 8 years ago

20 Years Old Tawny Port Blend 1692

My 2nd favorite 20 yr behind Grahams. Ramos Pinto is good as well, but seems to have to bottle to bottle variability issues…. Taylor is a great standby at a good price. — 5 years ago

Bold, very good quality. Doesn’t pair well with Italian cookies. — 7 years ago

Vintage Port Blend 1994

1994 vintage. Popped, decanted and filtered and tasted immediately. Opened six decades too early. The whole crushed violets and plummy thang definitely there alongside hints of sweet tobacco in her breath. With apologies, just another number in your little black book. These are the pros and cons. 1.24.26. — 4 months ago

Crazy Mary Mourvedre 2013

Wow! Still bright, chalky, and full of youthful grip. Red plum, raspberry, lichee and white pepper notes are most dominant. This could easily go another few years and not be at its peak. — 6 years ago

Mary Taylor Costieres de Nimes Red Rhone Blend 2017

Supple, jammy, silky mouthfeel, grapefruit, reminds me of the smokey charcoal of a Vacqueyras and the fruit of a luscious Pinot.

A recommended Rhône from the local shop owner on 23rd street.

A bouquet that brings the memory of clementines.

A shimmering pool of maroon silk.

This was a head scratcher. Don’t think I’ve had a wine like this. It wanted to reveal white chocolate and marzipan, but instead it tasted like green tea/chamomile coated almonds. It had some buttered pear and honeyed melon notes on the finish...very unique. — 7 years ago

It was definitely interesting. I’d like to try it again alongside similar wines to truly see what the style is they are going for.
