Of all the old Rioja I’ve been drinking this last year this, together with the Marqués de Riscal 1964, stands out the most. A stunning wine with mindblowing complexity. A true joy to drink. The bottle was finished extremely fast. — 7 years ago

Lovely nose of dried fruit and nuts, soft and elegant on the plate, with a hint of dryness on the finish. Layered on the palate and lingers in the mouth. -En Rama NYC popup — 8 years ago

1920. Oldest wine I’ve ever opened. Pristine provenance, tasted like old Burgundy. Total stunner. Conversation started at 2015 white Burgundy and somehow we made it to 1920 Rioja. They were super stoked, wish we had another bottle. Red fruit, not really oxidized at all, I would guess they added some CO2 when they recorked these. Good stuff and a total show stopper. A lot of fun. — 8 years ago

Almost as good as an over priced Napa cab. Worked well with 4 lbs of rodizio. I probably should not be allowed to rate this kind of wine. I actually enjoyed drinking this but still kinda hate it. I have emotional issues. — 11 years ago
