Takes me back to Marques de Riscal and the Frank Gehry designed hotel - go there if you haven’t been! — 5 years ago
(02.11.2019) #dfwe2019 — 6 years ago
Rhonda likes. Buy a bottle, but probably not a case. — 7 years ago
Had a bit more bite to it than the standard Ruby or Tawny versions. Also had some subtle notes of dark chocolate. — 7 years ago

Drank at Marqués de Riscal hotel during ‘Riscal menu dinner’ on 30th July 2016.
Ruby, violet border. Ash, berries on the nose. Fruity, cherry on the mouth. Quite nice wine. — 7 years ago
Incredible nose. Fresh in the mouth, really enjoyable. — 8 years ago
My second time tasting this wine. Wow was it showing well with living red fruit. The fruit was complex, rich, and wise. The complexity and length were incredibly long. This was as smooth as it gets. Even the core was still slightly red. #marquésderiscal #rioja #1911 #spain #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago

If I had rated this one the night I opened it, I would have given it a slightly lower score. At first, I caught aromas of leather and meat drippings and flavors of sundried tomatoes. A couple of nights later, the wine had opened up nicely and had more floral and spice aromas and flavors of red berries and earth. Needless to say, an interesting wine, indeed. And from the Canary Islands! Huh. 90% Listan Negro, 10% Castellana Negra. 9/1/22. — 3 years ago
Ken's bday! Amazing to have this 57 yr old Port. Fig jam, tabaco, date syurp. — 5 years ago

In 1997 Chateau Mouton Rothschild teamed up with Concha y Toro on Cabernet-Sauvignon vines. Wow, what a partnership. — 12 years ago

Quite a nice listan negro dominated blend from the Canary Islands. Great restrained fruit, excellent peppery earthy note, not overwhelming at all but complete. Good pairing with a variety of food at shukette. — 3 years ago
