This is bold. Lots of baking spices, custard and black fruits (Marion berry, black berry). Excellent new world Syrah. — 7 years ago
Grüner Veltliner. Crisp and clean. Dry and nice acidity. — 8 years ago
Similar to the clos Marion from this producer. Along with some definite perfumed notes. Really really pretty, yet still quite young. — 8 years ago
Super crisp, delightful with seafood. Drank with Omar at Marion in Melbourne on Jan 7 2019 — 5 years ago

1/20/18 dark, the blackberry, Marion berry on the nose is spectacular-also some tar, dark chocolate, pipe tobacco-Caymus the last several current releases are crap, but this 2004 is stunning-drink now-2020 — 7 years ago
Very delicious. Tasted at the winery. Dark cherry and cranberry notes with tons of all spice and pepper and green pine notes integrated nicely. On the palate super refreshing and complex. Elegant and pretty. — 8 years ago
Not so leesy. Touch of Brett? Finishes brisk. — 6 years ago
This could be my favorite young vintage of Graillot. The freshness and balance this has is awesome, almost going as far to say there’s tension in what is normally an area that produces lipsmacking Syrah with so much jovial personality. This has a serious side. So much just ripe blackberry, currant, and marion berry fruit, lavender, crack black and pink peppercorn, salt cured olive, iron, animal, licorice, spruce and that classic Graillot tar note. The mid palate and finish wrap the tongue with stony mineraity, the depth too is awesome. The acid and “focus” almost make it an outlier for the house style, but there’s so much class to it. This has dimension and posture, I’m excited to watch it evolve. — 6 years ago

This wine still has life after 22 years. The bold dried red fruit and acidity remain while the tannins have dissipated almost entirely. — 5 years ago
