This is a blend of Zin, Petit Syrah, and Syrah. Big, Juicy, but not overpowering. Well balanced and for an awesome price. Good staple wine to have around — 7 years ago

Opens well. Refreshing. Good thick and chewy. Definitely one to buy again. — 6 years ago
Big, sturdy, bold Zin-based blend for under $10. Reminds me a little of what Ravenswood Vintners Blend was many years ago before it became wimpy grape juice. Loads of blackberry and cassis notes. Some peppery spice on the back end. Great pizza/pasta/burger wine. Even better on the second night. — 6 years ago
Fruitful balanced robust bold not too dry — 8 years ago
Incredibly tasty. Big but remarkably light on its feet. Viognier really lifts it up. Pretty insane for the dollas. — 9 years ago
Color of deep purple, quite inky. Nose of ripe dark fruits like blackberries and cherry, some vanilla, some medicinal strawberry syrup, a bit mineral, a bit minty and grassy. Nose is average. Taste follows the nose with milky vanilla, a bit bittersweet and marginal tannins. 2nd sip shows some fruity notes, and strawberry stands out with some sweetness. Aftertaste shows some more bitterness and milky chocolate. Good milky feeling on the mouth, some more minty flavor, and easy to drink — 2 years ago

Takes a little time to open up but nice for the price. Would drink again — 6 years ago

Slight sweet but tannin uptick, mouthfeel slight bite more than Marietta lot 4, smooth clean, Gouda smell, bend of candy sugar that detracts — 8 years ago
Delectable Wine

The 2021 Christo is a brooding wine. Black cherry, plum, gravel, tobacco, menthol, licorice and dried herbs add to an impression of gravitas. Brawny tannins wrap it all together. This full-bodied red is very much intended for the dinner table. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2024)
