Nice body. Ever so slight grapefruit notes. Some plum. Paired really well with veal, pasta and some risotto.

Barely noticed I was drinking this. That’s a good sign. Lots of cheese and good friends helped too.

A nose of young green cherry bark.

Pom juice with blue fruits, tarragon, touched it roasted oregano. A touch of vanillin on the back end, with fruit skin.

Mid to heavier weight, with a solid fruit/tannin ratio. An innovative and iconic wine. Always worth having one on deck.

The wine shows a bit bit hot on the nose at first, but settles down quickly. Aromas of stewed figs and red fruit come paired with autumn spices and earth. It’s a hearty red, with red plums, cassis, and more spice on the palate. I paired it with pappardelle and lamb shank, to much delight.

One of my favorite reds of the day and for $20 you cannot go wrong!

Deep ruby in color. Concentrated dark fruit (primarily plum), baking spice, smoke/charcoal, vanilla, brown sugar, raisin, and fresh tart cherry. Tart fresh dark fruit on the palate. Moderate acidity and firm tannins. Tart cherry and plum with a lingering bitterness on the finish.
