This is what wine from Puglia can be at its best. This is a fuller bodied wine with plum and blackberry notes. Everything meshes together well. The finish is sufficient but not long. — 2 months ago
Tart and woody- strange combo but balances so pleasingly! — 7 months ago
Very balanced rosè between pink rose petals and ripe Strawberry aromas, on the palate the nuances of raspberry and a hint of watermelon is noticeable from the very first sip. Feels fresh and mellow, a fruit-forward rosé with an integrated acidity, and short finish.
Casual and easy to drink in any occasion. Sensible price point. Cheers! — 2 months ago
Fresh and satisfying, hints of tropical fruit but well balanced. — 7 months ago
This 2016 Barolo’s nose is cherry, dried cranberry, rose, and leather. One the palate similar flavors as the nose with the addition of a hint of tobacco. Great wine. — 2 days ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2018 “Il Rosso delle Donne” pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart, mostly red fruits: Morello cherry, raspberries, strawberry, roses, a whiff of horse blanket, red rope licorice, dried green herbs, and dry gravel. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is a slightly wild but positively gorgeous example of a Nebbiolo-based blend from Alto Piemonte. There’s an old school feel about this that completely charms the heart. Too bad there is so little of it: the entire Boca DOC has less than 50 acres planted to vine. Castello Conti only made 3912 bottles of this gem. Drink now through 2048+. — 11 days ago
