Jet black, inky & brooding, dense & tightly wound - this is an infant. Tons of flavors once it opens - among all the various fruit, I really enjoyed the terroir driven elements of soil & Earth, licorice & forest floor, bramble & spice. Great complexity. Chewy tannins, elegantly styled & powerful. Felt like 14% was lowballing it tho… thanks @Lyle Fass — 3 days ago
Such a freak show. Just an insane wine. I’ll be in an asylum after a glass. The nose is like the best bath/body works you’ve ever smelled in your life. Tangerine blossoms. Tropical but not blowsy. Everything is mineral here. Even the tropical fruit. Citrus jelly and mint julep! White tea. This stuff is crazy. Hi end bubble bath now. Like “Mediterranean” flavor. If such a thing exists. (I googled it. It does). Palate is like a white hermitage. As good if not better than the 14. Excruciatingly awesome minerality, and dry, dry dry. Licking plywood dry. But long. But trust me it’s great plywood and you want the finish to be thing long as there’s really good citrus. Long. Just a superb showing. This has more to yield. It’s tannic as well. It’s the craziest Fiano ever. The harmony, finesse and white hermitage/white burg 1er cru quality push this to a 9.5. This is elite. Might get a 9.6 just for how to original this wine is. I’ll see how it opens. — 2 months ago
Fresh fruit and light tannins.
Crispy and easy to drink.
Nicely combined with puntarelle alla romana (variant of chicory) and anchovies.
It's easy to open a second one.

@delectable lunarossa rosato costacielo I want to love this. Great fruit. Some acidity. Balanced. It lacks some oomph/vibrancy. A little acidity and a blast of minerality. Needs energy on the palate. It’s tasty but lacks the vibrancy I want in a rose. A very good value but not the rockstar its brethren are. ... a bizarre rose. Getting some candied lemon peel internal aromatics. Some savoriness. If I ignore the fact that it’s a rose I like it better. There must be something profound in that statement. ... ok. So after an hour I’m getting some licorice. Some lovely bitterness It tastes almost like rose made from aglianico ... which is what is it. Lovely nose. A field of blackberry flowers with white pepper. Forget every complaint. This is really good after an hour. A rose that needs a decant. Or even some age. Bizarre. Almost like a rose made in burgundy from aglianico. Yes. I’m aware that makes no sense. ... now some grippy acidity on the finish. So elegant on the palate. Juicy. Crushed flowers. Wow. — 3 years ago
