Should have opened it early and decanted - or better yet, hid it under a floorboard for a good ten plus years. Tightly wound tannins which come out swinging. Yet, with hints of the promised land to come in its youthful (?) bluster. — 5 months ago
Popped and poured, the 2019 “Vigna Rionda” pours a brilliant garnet color with medium+ viscosity and no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fresh red cherries, forest strawberries, tar, some red flowers, some light baking spices. One the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is dry and finishes with a flourish. A baby and yet this is drinking well right now (as many 2019’s are). Drink now with patience so you can enjoy the ride but I expect this will drink well for the next 15+ years. — 6 months ago
Stunning wine to celebrate our 27th anniversary, still plenty of structure and tannin to make things interesting with age and acid still to keep it fresh to the last drop. Dark rose, saddle leather, sort of a wild like red onion skin note and a bit of anise on the nose. Wine evolved and opened until the last drop, we chose to have it open in the glass rather than decant. If there is any more of this wine go find it!! — 9 months ago
I tried this twice, once early in 2022 and now-August 2023. Very nice well structured dolcetto that is a little bigger than what I look for in the type of wine, but now quite elegant and opening beautifully. Good value. — 2 years ago
Dark fruit/plum. Med-full bodies. Improved over1-2 hours. Smooth tannins with good acid. Very well balanced. Love this Tuscan Syrah. 1 bottle left if this vintage. Drink next 3-4 years. — 5 years ago

Nice dolcetto from Dogliani. Fresh and lots of fruit - with nice length, great acid, and quite complete. Medium minus tannins. Would be one to try in a couple years. — 9 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over a couple of hours. No formal notes but I can assure all that this is freaking delizioso. Loads of sexy red fruits: fresh bramble fruit, Montmorency cherry, pomegranate, cranberries along with some orange peel...and a tar pit…surrounded by a wall of roses. The tannins are so firm (high) right now. Acid is medium+. The finish is impossibly long, drying and savory. This is incredible and the only reason I opened one now is because I wanted to try while young since I have multiples. The 2019 vintage is the real deal. Best after 2029 and should be a stunner through 2069. — 9 months ago
Young and needs a lot of air to drink now. Will be great in 3-5 years. — 4 years ago
Elegant and whispy, so pretty with flowery gentle tannin. — 6 years ago

Chalky with fantastic berry and tannins. Opened it to kick off Shabbat.
I wish I’d ordered a few more bottles. — 8 months ago
