5th wine of the 1987 flight. Drinking great still! Great fruit and structure after all these years! — 9 years ago
Surprise! Bordeaux like in the nose showing cassis, cedar and mocha. This was the best 65 that I have ever tasted and everyone's favorite of the flight. — 11 years ago
Definitely fading and very much tasted of hotdogs on the palate. The nose was still pretty interesting — 7 years ago
A lot going on but still too young. The tannins are too powerful and intense for me. But there is a lot of dark fruit and complexity present. — 8 years ago
Cantaloupe, honeydew, lime zest on the palate. Subtle grassy hints, lemon lime, salt air on the nose. Enjoyable if simple. — 9 years ago
Just the right amount of sweetness. — 9 years ago
Warm it and drink it on a cold night. — 10 years ago
Smooth and buttery, just an awesome crisp spring wine — 10 years ago
Sweet, smoothly spiced. — 7 years ago

When it was opened the nose was shy, 30 minutes later it opened up to a smooth and elegant wine with fruit and soft tannins. Solid and good drinking. Cork was in great shape!! 56 year old wine that has held up beautifully.🍷🍷 — 9 years ago
Lite and crisp. Great for the price. — 9 years ago
sharing with my good friend Buck! deep berry flavors, with rich tannins and mild oakiness. love this! — 10 years ago

The Monte Rosso was outstanding in every way- expressive nose of dark red fruits and layers that touched all parts of the palate. The flavors complimented a wonderful dinner. 8 years and still getting better. 100 year old vines that show how good Zinfandel can be when grown and tended to reveal their sense of place. Outstanding 🍷🍷🍷 — 7 years ago
