Pepper, blackberry, licorice nose. Lifted fruit, great balance, there's a nice dark cherry Sangiovese character. — 8 years ago

This is how a Sauvignon is supposed to be. Straight forward, crispy, mineral and bright. No candy fruit, shortcuts or mild easy flavor. Good job — 9 years ago
Wine option no. 2
We picked it as Italian but missed out on varietal.
One of the stand outs for me. — 10 years ago
A little harsh but a good harsh. Fruity/warty taste and smell. Danie isn't a fan. — 11 years ago

Hell yes. Delicate, balanced big refreshing bubbles for summer. This Italian sparkler from the Veneto is comes from master Barolo-maker Livio Sassetti as part of his war against over-sulfured Italian bubbles. Pink pomegranate, candied tangerine peel and guava notes with a hint of plum - from the Merlot, no doubt. Elegant, zesty and flamboyant with an in-your-face creamy finish. Extra-dry spumante, like extra-dry Champagne, is in the range we call "off-dry" in absolute terms. For reference, wine that is still in the absolute dry category can have up to 9 grams of residual sugar; this wine has 12; cocacola clocks in at 110. — 8 years ago

Big notes from ox, oak, and citrus to start. A bit honeyed, but opens into a nice citrus punch. A bit of a chameleon. Needs food, would be difficult to enjoy on its own. — 9 years ago
Tropical nose, good acid, not too flabby. — 9 years ago
Very nice, not too sweet, hints of pear and grapefruit. — 10 years ago

Complex, more like a red wine in its complexity. Nose is so complicated that I can’t describe it, but something like beef fat combined with fruit. Too many flavors to describe. Truly a great wine,
