Les Cents Verres

J-M Seleque

Le Quintette Extra Brut Champagne 5 Terroirs Chardonnay

Opened to selebrate the Global Champagne Day. 100% Chardonnay from Vertus, Epernay, Pierry, Dizy, Mardeuil thus the name Quintette. Made from with vines ranging 36 to 71 years. 2016 vintage with 20% vin de Solera. Discorged Feb/2020 with 2g/l dosage. This is BdB with quite some substance, richness and energy. Both the nose and palate greets with toasty/brioche notes complemeted by mineral and flowery cents. Initially bit tightly wound but when you let it open it turns to beautiful and highly enjoyable BdB Champagne — 5 years ago

Robe noire

Great vineyard and a surprisingly good example from a little know Producer. We will be offering this out because we all liked it. Lots of fruit but also nice menthol, underbrush, and fennel note. I am Magine in 3 to 5 years this will be rocking — 8 years ago

Cantina Terlano

Weissburgunder 2016

Great Pinot Bianco in the making. Where the 2015 was ready to go off the gate this is significantly tighter and to me needs a year in a bottle to show best. Better in day 2 where the fruit and acidity was better in balance and nose displayed more of the typical cents. — 9 years ago

Tenuta Torciano

Poggioaicieli Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2013

I’m quarantined, many grapes deep, and I’m reminded of my precious Tuscany. 😍 I can taste the smell of the fresh air and beautiful blend of an earthy peppery grass. Then it turns into a papaya without an ounce of bitterness. Maybe I like the people at this vineyard so I’m partial but I doubt it. 💁🏻‍♀️ 2013 is a nice year and there’s my two cents. — 6 years ago

GK Sylvaner

Elegant, fresh, picked straight off a lemon tree and squeezed and put in a pitcher and sold on a street corner in suburban heaven for .25 cents a mason jar full. This puckerupper is sassy AND punk... not yr average sylvaner. — 8 years ago

Stone Brewing

Tangerine Express IPA

Stone. IPA. Tangerine Express. Best part? 75 cents per can closeout. They had 19 of them...now THIS DUDE has 19 of them. Nice IPA with great citrus hops on the front and more of a dry hop finish. Nice brew for summertime! — 8 years ago

@Isaac Pirolo LOL. The wife wanted to turn down the aisle where they have seasonal stuff, which is also where they have closeouts. She knows I have a weakness for Stone, and knows what the label looks like. When she saw the $0.75 per can close out sticker, she knew she had made the wrong decision to turn down the aisle that day!

Heitz Cellar

Bella Oaks Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

A wonderful. Older 1998 wine. Lots of fruit and long finish, a real keeper. My wife and I went to Heitz Cellars during our honeymoon in 1969. It was in the old barn . We slept in the VW bug on trip. Cost of Cab about. &1.25. A lot of money then as I made 0.65 cents/hour. — 9 years ago

Very nice bubbly found at our local grocery wine dept..$29.99! Throw in the $10 employer gift card for working the pandemic and 25 cents fuel savers..it all makes this bottle a memorable celebration indeed! 🤣
I am enjoying this bubbly..1st time! Nice red delicious apples, pear, peach and brioche! Great length and nice acidity to counter the fruit! I would get this again!

Pecchenino

Vigna Botti Langhe DOC Nebbiolo 2017

Very nice Langhe Nebbiolo. Dark cherry red. Slightly shy nose with strawberry and red berry cents. Initially light on it's feet but having sneaky punch that builds up towards the end. Good sweetness on typical nebbiolo fruit. Very fine but persistent tannins that suport the frame nicely. Acidity that keeps the wine very fresh. Balanced and very food friendly wine that should improve atleast further 3-4 years in the bottle #nebbiolo #langhe #pecchenino — 8 years ago

The Four Graces

Reserve Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2014

Each swirl releases a new flavor; vanilla and baking spice are accented by sweet red cherries and plum preserves. The palate hosts savory flavor qualities that include hints of rhubarb, sandalwood and rooibos tea. Cranberries and pie cherries mingle with bright bramble fruits and lead into a lengthy finish full of youthful tannins, night acidity and a promise of a long cellar life. It will only get better with time... just my 2 cents worth! — 10 years ago
