Color is a beautiful, almost unnaturally reddish pink, cloudy and hazy. On the nose you get apple cider, watermelon, candied grapefruit and bubblegum. On the palate it's fairly dry with low acid and some of the notes on the nose are lost. It's mostly green apple, mango, peaches and some yeast. No funk from natural processes and incredibly refined for being unfiltered. On the finish you do get a bit of dried herbs. Pretty energetic bubbles like soda pop. — 4 years ago
Really pretty blend. Musty and mineral-y. Not too fruity, subtle tannins. Very nice. — 5 years ago

Amazing. Well balanced. Amazing acidity and excellent structure. — 8 years ago
Intense aromas and flavors of mushroom, tobacco leaf, black tea with just a hint of black cherry fruit. Hints of meat, Forrest Floor and leather. All of the tertiary/savory notes come to the forefront and the fruit stays in the background. Lighter in body. Dark garnet color. — 4 years ago
Nature, fruit, pomme poire, amande. Bouche complexe et longue. — 4 years ago

This is 16 despite the label. Awesome nose. Big cherry fruit, some sweet oak, mint, soil tones, and just an amalgam of intense fruit. Really elegant and juicy with lithe silky tannins and such purity. Terrific structure and top notch finesse. Amazing purity and elegance. Long finish and very chewy. I think needs 3-4 years and/or a 3 hour decant. Terrific focus and freshness. Stunning balance. Awesome. Lovely stuff. — 7 years ago

I love French butter almost as much as I love French wine. Get you one who can do both? 😂 #pghwinefestival — 8 years ago
Gorgeous nose. Leather, red currents, wet moss, tobacco, mint, really terrific vivid aromas. Palate is soft yet juicy with whipsmart acidity. Wonderful freshness and length. So juicy. Very complex and drinking so well. Reminds me of Chateau Le Puy from the Cotes de Francs. @Delectable Wine this is from Wurrtemberg and not California. Thanks! — 8 years ago
We were lucky to have probably the benchmark for the Roussanne grape about a month ago with the Chateau Beaucastel. This Yangarra was not as stone fruit fleshy as the old vine Beaucastel. Skinnsy notes from being fermented in ceramic eggs Two thirds fermented on skins with extended contact; one third fermented without skins. A full bodied white on the palate with notes of Quince with some viscosity and low acid finishing with some bitterness from those skins which is good. Grows on you with each sip. In summary a very good new world Roussanne. Had my last one 57 weeks later on 29/6/22 with similar notes although there was a strange unidentifiable note on the palate. Nutty. — 5 years ago

White flower aromas lead with notes of honey and toasted almonds. Hint of baking spices. Ripe Peach, melon and lemon fruit dominate the pallet with a hint of pie dough and those baking spices. Nice long finish and creamy texture. Really developing well with a bit of age. Appreciate you sharing this one, Ron B! — 3 years ago
