Well balanced. Still significant tannin remains for an ‘05. Delightful — 3 years ago
Great inexpensive white Bordeaux — 5 years ago
This superstar estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape also produces one of the finest versions of Côtes-du-Rhône Rosé. Impressively concentrated and focused, with spice-tinged red berry, mineral and citrus fruit flavors, the 2017 shows superb clarity. A great match with strongly seasoned grilled foods. $23.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2018) — 6 years ago
Crisp, refreshing Sancerre. Pairs well with grilled meats and crab cakes. — 7 years ago
Bright light purple dress. Pure explosive nose on fruits (red and black) and flowers, typical of carbonic maceration. In mouth the first is light, airy, confirming the nose; carried by a beautiful necessary freshness balancing the little terroir extraction. A modern, "natural" wine, on the fruits at first fond that does not prevent a certain complexity from expressing itself on a peppery and mineral finish. A very beautiful juice to drink from the aperitif, which blindly could pass for a rosé.
— 2 years ago
Drinking at the Rivah. Not too sharp. Round for a Sauvignon Blanc. Soft finish — 3 years ago
Beautiful deep golden color, aromas are slightly buttery, not overly oaky, grass, lemon grass, citrus, and apricots. Nice and floral, and very drinkable. Would be great paired with southeast Asian foods. — 5 years ago
Dried red currants and a drier finish. Wonderful with steak or roast chicken. — 5 years ago
Very profound nose which reminded me of a couple of bottles I had of clos du marquis. I said saint Julien but wasn’t sure. Blackcurrant, coffee, meat, tea... different layers. I was pretty sure at that point that it was a grand cru classé... the palate is not that wide and powerful. I thought then grand cru classé but in a small recent year. 2011 or 2013. The palate was evolving around an acid backbone with fine tannins and a lovely yet discreet fruit. Moderately long finish with fruit, coffee again and a pinch of salt. I finally went for haut marbuzet 2011. I was far away from it! Always trust a first impression. Superb nose, palate a bit under delivering when the nose raises such expectations. Overall lovely and well done. — 6 years ago
Sweet goes very well with cheese. — 2 years ago
Mild mild berries upfront with a medium tart dry cranberry finish. From the Loire valley. — 3 years ago
Very serious for a CdR. Lots of dark cherry/strawberry fruit with cocoa/espresso on the finish. Robust and firm structure. — 3 years ago
Good first impression from the nose. Dry, dark flavor, peppery spice. Reminiscent of a good amarone. — 4 years ago
Round and tropical but not fleshy. Dry and mineral. Vanilla bean. Pillowy and fluffy. Terrific value. — 5 years ago

NOSE: barnyard, yeast, blackberry, cassis, minerals. A little bit of BBQ. A little more blackberry comes out if you sniff deeply, but not much.
TASTE: nice medium-weight, earthy, blackberry, balanced wine. Pretty smooth. You can tell it’s young, but it’s still quite good, if a little simple. 91. More fruit comes out with more air. — 2 years ago
