2012 Sandhi Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir from one of the oldest plantings in the Santa Rita Hills (1971). Youthful, lovely fruit purity and freshness, highlighting the vineyards cool micro climate. This wine speaks the language of the vineyard. Old world wine style made in the New World. This will age gracefully, but already delicious! Only 600 x 6-Packs produced, partnership between Charles Banks (Ex-Screaming Eagle and Sommelier Rajat Parr, winemaker Sashi Moorman) available in Thailand through wine garage. — 10 years ago

After sitting a few years this is in a really nice spot. Definitely a cool climate variation of the varietal but it is singing along now. — 10 years ago
I'm impartial because I helped pick th is wine. The bien naciedo is placed on Riesling root stock and is amazing. This is cool climate syrah and really really shows the intensity of a cool growing season. Wow Paul is the man. — 10 years ago
Wow. Anyone up for 99 SB Syrah. This was a lovely warm climate Syrah drinking at apex. Again an almost seamless wine with a distinct start middle finish. Hats off to Adam! — 10 years ago
Beautifully crafted wine. Singing now with ripe cool climate opulence and savoury restraint. — 11 years ago
2002 by Paul Hobbs is unbeatable, maybe his best class of Cabernets, though in a few years I am sure 2007 will be a staunch competitor. Red and purple color, the nose is a little funky, but the palate is fantastic with bright red fruits like cherry and raspberry, a touch of dusty mocha, the palate is plenty young, easily another 5-7 years here. Bright acidity and silky tannins. Shows the Carneros cool climate in spades. — 11 years ago
Cracking value. Refined, elegant, bright... Classic Cool Climate Carneros — 12 years ago
Mature cool climate Chardonnay. Penfolds Whites are starting to gain the reputation of their illustrious Red offering. After 6 years funk is replacing the Flint of a few years ago. Nice stone fruit notes and long. Enjoyable. — 10 years ago
Loving the cold climate style. Olive and herb, oh and some fruit. — 10 years ago
Totally under-rated and awesome cool climate red. How's the view?! — 11 years ago
Patagonia cool climate Malbec, fresh, fresh, fresh with lots of energy, length and generosity. Whopping value at $25-30 — 11 years ago
Purple colour, plummy jammy chocolate nose and palate. Slightly bitter, classic warm climate shiraz. Tasted with 2009 Grange and almost as enjoyable. Preferred it to the Bin 128 and the 389. Bargain. — 12 years ago
Delicious with apple crisp — 13 years ago
Lyn Farmer
Pretty medium garnet color, vibrant acidity and bright fresh berry character. No jamminess or white pepper here, just delicious fruit and 12.5% abv. Seductive in its appeal. Well judged oak that never intrudes on the fruit. Dekicious and a benchmark in cool climate shiraz — 10 years ago
