New vintage just out. Stellar as always. More fruit-forward than the 2012, but still sharp, balanced and interesting. Blackberry and roasted meat nicely complimented by pepper and coffee notes. The finish is short, but memorable. $10 at Trader Joes. Stock up if you can find. — 9 years ago
Delicious! Creamy and complex with notes of coffee and chocolate and so much more. Sadly there must be corn in the mash because I have an allergic reaction. — 9 years ago
Very big ballsy Barossa Shiraz. Has lost any oakiness. Mocha, chocolate. Slightly watery on the finish. — 9 years ago
Best Pinot noir I've had yet. Smooth, yet strong tannins — 12 years ago
Tonight's wine is a Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast. I picked this up a couple days ago and was excited to try it. I had heard a lot about Kutch wines over the last few months and wanted to know what all the hub bub was about. Jamie Kutch is the winemaker and his first vintage was a 2005 Pinot. Jamie used to be a stock trader from NYC on the NASDAQ working for Merrill Lynch. He traded in everything to move west bitten by the wine bug and to make Pinot Noir. He was mentored by Michael Browne of Kosta Browne fame and the rest is history.
The nose on this Pinot is very expressive of good fruit with notes of plum, cherry, raspberry, ,menthol, clove and a musty earthy forest floor.
The palate doesn't disappoint with a touch of sweetness, red cherry, black raspberry, plum, clove and a touch of oak.
Even though this is a California Pinot it is not the normal big Pinot with dark fruit. This has an earthy soil texture with medium + mouth watering acidity and medium smooth fine tannins. A nice Pinot Noir and I can understand why there is a lot of talk about this winery. — 8 years ago
Fantastic. Just the perfect amount of oak. Easy drinking, love the oily quality on the palate, ever so slightly sweet but still completely dry. Very round flavor. — 9 years ago
Perfect with red pastas, sautéed crimini mushrooms, and even meaty pizzas. Because of the affordable price, I will probably stock up. I now understand why it is always sold out on this app. — 9 years ago
Beautiful fruit that perfectly balanced the tannins. — 9 years ago
Probably my most favorite! Not inexpensive at restaurants ($65-$76), but pairs so well with just about anything. Year after year it is consistently great. It's hard not to share it, but then you must keep multiple bottles in stock! — 10 years ago
The rich penetrating ruby, '08 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon reminded me why I used to stock my cellar with Napa wines. Layered aromas of cassis, licorice, grilled herbs and cedar pummel the nose. A firm backbone of lively tannins lift the spicy dark fruit flavors to a persistent lush and sweet finish. Quite seductive! — 11 years ago
Best rum ever. I love every cocktail or recipe I've used with it ever. And even tho it burns straight, I prefer it to vodka — 8 years ago
Singing - really impressed for the money, going to look to stock the cellar with a few of these — 9 years ago

My local gas station always has this wine in stock - my go to wine that I pick up after a rough day of work. Makes me feel better, lol — 9 years ago
Dark plum color. Uninteresting nose. Plum flavors. Sweet, but not cloying. Light balanced tannins and acidity. Full flavor without being heavy. Very easy to drink. I really like this wine. — 10 years ago

Lithe and sophisticated. Black tea and pipe cherry tobacco with a blueberry compote note. This is a fantastic wine. Stock up. — 8 years ago
