A genius Klingelberger. What a nose. So floral. Flower shop levels. Little shop of insane dry Riesling. Gorgeous Mosel like fruit. Smells ripe and sweet but also bone dry. Green apples. Pear. Apricot. So vivid and detailed. Just wonderful. Lime blossom, sweet lime. Endless aromas. Fresh field level 10. But also rock quarry. Staggering young Klingelberger aromas. Palate is epic like a Norwegian Viking documentary epic. Dense, structured, deep man is this deep with just stunning purity and freshness. So vivid and so detailed. This is god level balance. So long. Never ends. The purity of this wine is just incredible. Amazing finesse and elegance and screamingly mineral and very very complex on the finish. This is a staggering young Klingelberger. 9.7. Yup. Just genius. Amazing concentration and depth. Really I can’t get over how good this is. — 5 years ago
Super mineral on the nose with a hint of pith. Lemon pith and mineral palate super juicy. There is a not obvious richness and depth if that makes sene. Hint of honey on the finish. Just a hint. A must buy for laible and Chablis lovers. Bought from Fass selections. After an hour subtle peach comes out. — 8 years ago
Huge fan of Weissburgunder of late, more so than the "Pinot Blanc" that I have had from Alsace or Oregon. The minerality and precision that this grape gives you in the right terroir and dutiful hands that don't do too much is enlightening! #weissburgunder #wine — 9 years ago
2014 #Spätburgunder #trocken "#Muschelkalk" is a very impressive red from soils such as those found in Chablis and, as such, very pronounced mineral character pervades... aged 18 months in French oak... very restrained and understated, but a truly beautiful wine with loads of potential. #AlexanderLaible — 9 years ago
This is 2013 vintage. Seeing more dry (trocken) Rieslings from Germany and for good reason - they are delicious! Previously have enjoyed the von Buhl dry Rieslings. This wine has a nose of cut flowers and good depth of fruit on palate. Hints of white peach. Low acid cut indicates more drink now style. Will buy more. 17.5+ — 10 years ago
2012 Laible Riesling Durbacher Plauelrain trocken "Achat". Because Germany! — 11 years ago
What a showing. Superbly mineral nose. Just gorgeous. Herbals as well. So clean and airy. Smells like a Chablis. Leaner than Laible. Green plum. So complex and distinctive. Citrus. A rare white to have that lipstick like intensity I always refer to in red wine. Wow. So deep. So clean. Just a masterful nose. Palate is so complex, so dense, so powerful and so concentrated. Pure as the sky is blue. So so electric, elegant. Just so much going on. The complexity and texture are just top notch. Salty, saline and pure. Awesome acids and terrific structure. This has an unrelenting finish that pushes intense minerals and perfectly ripe and concentrated fruit. Amazing. Fruit comes in more on the finish now. Lime. Oranges. Has sweetness and austerity. None dry wine. But sweetness of fruit and minerals is awesome. — 4 years ago
Very composed - would be lovely in a couple of years. Nice to see a screwcap. — 9 years ago
One day I'm going to qualify in my mind how Laibel is different than producers from other, more exalted Riesling regions. For now, the best I can do is to say that the Klingelberger is to a dry wine from the Wonnegau as a great and classic Chablis is to a wine from Puligny or Chassagne. It's really a quiet sort of excellence and a subtle beauty. — 9 years ago
This #Rosé #trocken** is made from a blend of red varietals... very dry, clean, cherry notes and refreshing like a warm summer day. #AlexanderLaible — 9 years ago
Mango, passionfruit, and salt. remarkable balance between sweet and savory, funky, bright and linear. New favourite. — 10 years ago
The jury is out. This can't be a German white burgundy as the name implies because burgundy refers to the region...TBDrunk. The verdict...mildly "cheesy" inn that pleasant way, nice minerally aftertaste. Basically it's an Evie-pleasing wine - reminded me of a Riesling (I've never met one I didn't like). "Weissburgunder" is the German name for Pinot blanc - merci Wikipedia! — 10 years ago
What a value. Huge nose or fresh sprigs of herbs, huge minerals and fresh spring water. Amazingly clean. Even floral as well. Dense and chewy with wonderful purity and balance. Compact and so clean. Really this is totally over-delivering. Stunningly clean. Long. Did I say this was clean? — 6 years ago
Blood orange, tangerine, sour red berries, clove, mint, rusty iron pipe. Very high-pitched balsamic character throughout, with a resinous nose and very austere mouthfeel and flavors. Revealing a unique terroir, a very honest wine that grew on me as I tasted it. — 7 years ago
Quite strong for Kabinett, but hey, it's no Mosel...😀 — 8 years ago
#Riesling #trocken #Kalkmergel *** from 60 year old vines. Very clean, limestone minerality, good complexity and body... finely balanced. #AlexanderLaible — 9 years ago
2014 #Spätburgunder #trocken #AlteReben***--from vines 35 years old...very elegant, high-strung, cherry aromas, aged in French oak 12 months. Still very youthful but with fine potential...lovely #Pinot! #AlexanderLaible — 9 years ago

Outrageous showing. Confectionary nose of sugar snap peas, sweet pink celery, herbs, some apricot and just awesome, forceful driving minerality. Palate is super elegant, super juicy and just so super delicious. Amazingly pure and balanced and so so clean. Slips, slides and glides on the palate. Exceptional minerality that is alive and super cleansing. Just on point. — 3 years ago
