Smooth, dry and mild. A leather and coffee, an oak. Very good. My third wine from this producer and I prefer pinot noir. — 4 years ago
Fantastic fragrance, typical Gewürztraminer, dry, nice acidic backbone. — 8 years ago
Lovely higher-end release from a top-notch Alto-Adige producer. This one has more toasty notes thanks to lees aging, and some riper tropical fruit notes than the standard Weissburgunder. Delicious. — 8 years ago
Just lovely. — 9 years ago
Had with Marisa and Emma. Maris's client. — 9 years ago
Red fruit sweetness (nose), but: it's very dry, high acidity (obvious). Leather and dark chocolate made this pinot. Very good.
My second pinot from this producer. Previous: 2017. — 3 years ago
More on the dry side, but still crisp with a touch of sweetness.
Paired with garlic lemon chicken, seasoned wild rice, and sauteed veggies in lemon juice. — 6 years ago
Lovely Weissburgunder from a solid biodynamic producer. Stone fruit, light mineral, edelweiss, lemon curd with a rounded edge. Hard to imagine a wine drinker who would not find this refreshing. Terrific QPR at $12-13 a bottle.
From the tech sheet:
Grapes are gently crushed and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks followed by maturation for approximately 4 months on the lees. — 8 years ago
Very aromatic. Pineapple fruit on the nose, then turns dry with a light bitterness. Medium long finish. Medium bodied. Delicious. — 9 years ago
This is what Vernatsch is all about!
Light (11.5% alc) and crystal clean yet quite expressive with cherries and plumes and cranberries. There’s also a whiff of lemon peel and a stony, herby undertone.
Crisp & light on the palate and very, very juicy with a pinch of herby spice and a mineral backbone. Despite all it’s lightness this has loads of precision, character & personality. Love it!! — 5 years ago
More prep for my visit to Alto-Adige in a couple weeks and I’m hoping to stop into Ladeger. Fits my love for expressive aromatic whites. Fragrances of grapefruit and green resin with peaches, apricots, nectarines, and lychee. And always good texture. — 7 years ago
Voluptuous and sexy. Fantastic to see a Demeter certified wine produced with such classic finesse. — 8 years ago
Already showing some maturity in its colour. Having recently had a Pinot-like Nebbiolo now it’s the turn to have a Nebbiolo-like Pinot. Improves with airing, hints of orange peel, jasmine on the nose. Delicious midweight body and all allusions on the palate like a proper good Pinot should be - mineral, a hint of oak, refreshing red fruit. Not quite as good as their Chardonnay which is world class, but a very delicate, perfumed expression of the grape. — 9 years ago

It’s alive! Slightly prickling on the tongue. Rife with chillable ways: low gentle tannins, zippy acid, fresh red fruits… a total natty skewing dreamboat. It could wear a manbun and get away with it. — 3 years ago
