Magenta color. Threw small amount sediment. Perfumed floral nose of violets. Light to medium bodied. Tart raspberry & cranberry. Super high acidity (?VA) was a detractor for me. Couldn’t tame it with food. — 5 years ago

Initial green notes with olive and banana peppers. But some smooth tannins. Red fruits on the palette but still franc-ish green style — 7 years ago

Lovely bouquet of cherry liqueur, tobacco, and moist earth. Still with prominent dusty tannins on the palate. Drinking well now. 13.5% ABV. — 6 years ago
A complex hot mess that goes way beyond the aromatic profile any 3 year old white should be capable of delivering. Stunning and bizarre. Looking for a Sancerre? Run screaming. — 7 years ago
this is wrong. it’s 100% pinot meunier not p. noir. sorry @Justin Chearno killed another one! — 7 years ago
The sommelier described this selection as fruit forward, but I respectfully disagree. I experienced more minerals than anything else, which seems consistent with the fact that this delicate tasting wine is grown directly in the limestone bedrock, with very little soil. Hints of pepper rounded out the flavors. Excellent! Paired well with langoustines and lamb. — 7 years ago
Pop and 1 hr slow ox before tasting. On the nose: denser and more tightly wound than the 17, but still darn good: soft earth, a suggestion of coffee toast, black raspberry, soft spiced plum. On the palate: fantastic acidity, blackberry, strawberry leaf, soft, but very bright coffee notes, and finely grained tannin on the finish. This is a village wine, but it definitely seems structured to improve with some short term aging. Yum. — 4 years ago
