2004 vintage tasted Feb 14 2025. Very good still. Full fruit, strong, classic tempranillo — 9 months ago
“Ojo Gallo’, Castellano for ‘rooster eye’ (in other words, what the French call ‘oeil de perdrix’), hearkens back to the traditional clarete style of the region. This dark rosé (light red?) is a field blend of very old vines of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Bobal, Monastrell, Viura, Albillo and Malvasia co-fermented in cement and raised for 8 months in used barrels before bottling without added sulfur” — 4 years ago
Oaky, dark fruit, coffee, smoky, eucalyptus, underbrush with a smooth mineral salty long finish. Tannins and acidity on the high side but overall it is well balanced wine... Decanting is a MUST!! Nice honest, unpretentious and bold wine that could compliment ANY plate. Guarantee of enjoyment and mood improvement! Testament to things well done ... — 5 years ago
Bought by friend. Really nice. Not expensive — 6 years ago
Really yummy considering how cheap. Kinda dry. — 8 years ago
It’s the Crianza I was drinking. Expressive nose of red and dark (cherries, plums and blackberries), well handled oak and good acid — 3 years ago
Classic wine of ripen tannins age in French oak cask. Recommended to decant the wine in order to fully enjoy it. Strong berry noted and spicy finish. — 5 years ago
Raspberries, cherries, blood orange, burnt orange peel, thyme, cedar and spice. Medium+. Smooth. — 7 years ago
This flinty white is fantastic. Mineral notes come after the first sip and stay with you for quite awhile. This would be good with almost anything. — 9 years ago
One of my faves. The unique iodine taste of a Spanish rioja paired beautifully with the duck. Wow. — 3 months ago
Complex and very aromatic. Excellent! — 6 months ago

En el corcho aparece impreso ‘López de Haro’. Se nota los meses (de 15 a 18 de barrica nueva) Equilibrado pero algo corto al final. Bueno pero no como para repetir. — 5 years ago
Un malbec delicado, muy suave y seco. — 7 years ago
Albariño con 5 años de crianza. Muy bueno — 8 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of mostly Tempranillo with about equal amounts of Garnacho, Graciano and Manzuelo, deep Ruby with a graceful bouquet of berry fruits, cigar box spice with fresh earthy tones, a traditional Rioja, still reticent. On the silky smooth palate, elegant with layers of flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character. Delicious! — 3 months ago
