Funkiest vino rosato I have ever tasted! More like a sharp Spanish cidre than any wine, with a muddled orange color and familiar barnyard nose. The nose lulls you for a moment as you think you know what’s coming and then BAM—funk to the tenth power, backed by steely acid and light effervescence. Lower alcohol at just 10.5% but you don’t really notice one way or another; this wine is all about the funk. Not for every palate but a perfect foil for the spicy Thai fish curry and Khao Soi my wife and I enjoyed at Night and Market Sahm in Venice; this little cutie came from the restaurant’s wine list. Had the 2020 vintage. — 4 years ago
Awesome Shiraz from Thailand! Strong raspberry on the nose, medium purple in color. Overall well balanced! — 8 years ago
Reasonable price, sweet, intense aroma, medium finish — 9 years ago
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Syrah, 100% new Fr&Am oak
Red> purple. Age shows on the rim w/ receding color.
The bouquet is a show stopper! A complex array of animalistic charm intermingling w/ intense dose of cassis, blackberry, and dapper new oak spice.
Full bodied (14.5avb), high tannin, med high acidity. Game, pretty soil tone, meaty, new leather, cedar with a hint of gun powder and coffee grind. The fruit profile is still very much present. Last minutes.

Sensory overload. Bury your nose in this, after it has been open for awhile. Like getting run over by Khao San Road. Agree with others, super long. This was my 2nd bottle - so much better this time around, as the last was shy and floral, vs the exoticism of this one. Delicious. — 10 years ago

Had to crack a ‘21 and put one in the cellar for a few years. Very impressed. But of course KP nails this variety. A but rounder than Riesling with different aromatics but still that good teeth shattering acidity and minerality. Paired with khao soi. — 3 years ago
Absolutely perfect with a dinner of Thai Khao Soi. This is the sort of kabinett that just bowls me over. How can you still buy a wine like this for less than $20? The nose alone - stone, apples, honey, flowers.... — 5 years ago
Dark red almost purple in colour, notes of dark berries with a finish of spice. Great with a Pad Thai or a khao soi. No more than $15. — 7 years ago
