From a hot vintage comes a balanced Brouilly from Descombes in magnum. Complex aromas with lots of raspberries, a hint of forest floor emerging as some time passes. The fruit profile is among the lighter side of the Beaujolais 2015 that I have tried. Good acidity and medium tannins. A serious wine, though not super chuggable nor structured enough to be a great food partner. But pretty enjoyable as it is. — 4 years ago
After the lees waft away (give it 10-15 minutes after corking) it smells like a steak au poivre cooked rare.
Bracing acidity and when you expect tannins to set in you get a Black pepper finish.
Does it make sense if I say that it's a gamay made in the style of a southern Rhone Grenache?
Very nuanced Beaujolais — 8 months ago
Clean nose, dark appearance. Red forest berries, quite high acidity. Descombes is one of the masters of Beaujolais, and it shows. — 10 months ago
Meilleur vin orange que j’ai bu jusqu’à présent ! — 2 years ago
Un vrai bon Bojo d'entrée de gamme, hop la vie, sur le fruit, tout en simplicité, dans le style Descombes ou Lapierre. Excellent RQP! — 4 years ago

It’s difficult to believe this is almost ten years old, as it has yet to take on any tertiary aromas. I must fight to take my hands of the couple of other bottles I have from 2014, as I am eager to see how they are when they start maturing. — 4 months ago
