Cherries jubilee, pipe tobacco, baking spice. Really nice texture profile juicy to firm tannic finish. — 6 years ago
Night 1 of the Fall WNH event in San Antonio. What a killer start to the extended weekend, all courtesy to Shawn and Jennifer for hosting! Tonight was Italian wines.
More baked pie notes from red and black fruit than previous wines. Cherries jubilee on the nose. Old rose and violet and a muddled herbal raspberry note. Very unique. Both sweet and tart on the palate. Extremely balanced. Thanks for bringing @Eric LaMasters . — 7 years ago
A great lip smacker. The nose is inviting with cherries jubilee. Heavier cab but a fabulous leather and fruit. Darker berries with some earthy tones. Very nice — 7 years ago
A small group of people happened to be hanging around Classic and we all pulled a few pinots out to taste side by side.
Even though it’s spelled wrong (😉) it was nice to finally try a wine from a winery with my name! OR Pinot is still something I’m getting used to, and I found this very thin. Strawberry and cherries jubilee on the nose. Mid palate and finish just seemed very faint. Very earth and herbal driven. Unique. — 8 years ago
Queens Jubilee Wine served during the celebration year to her majesty! It's beautiful dryness and royal richness makes you beg for more no matter what occasion! If you can get your hands on it the 2007 is the best! — 9 years ago
In the glass, it is a very pretty translucent ruby color. Gorgeous aromatics of rose petal, peppered red plum, bright black cherries and sweet cherries jubilee. Bit of a disconnect between the aromatics and the palate...overload of red cherries, tart black cherries, tar, and an herbal twang...oregano like. Hardly any acidity here, but it’s actually semi tannic driven at the finish. Very much OR in style and not Cali-like. Not sure it’s getting better. — 6 years ago

Part 1 of the final and main event for the Fall WNH. The most spectacular lineup of wines I’ve ever seen, and an overall wonderful ending to an amazing trip with fantastic people.
To me, these wines epitomize hedonistic, plush and silky Napa Cabernet. Milk chocolate dipped black cherries, blueberry pie and nutmeg topped mocha on the nose. Rich and exuberant on the palate with a finish wrapped in bacon fat and cherries jubilee. Wonderful wine, @Mike R ! — 7 years ago
This is Benoît Ente, mineral driven, lots of secundairy tones yet refreshing! You could say the acidity is a bit on top but I really liked it. Will buy again!

Tonight It is time for another Pinot!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sineann Pinot Noir 2013 from Oregon. The cork is GLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The color is pure scarlet! The boquet is strawberry, cherry, rose! The initial palate is spicy cherry tart! AMAZING! There is a hint of smoke and oak. SERIOUSLY! The finish is long and spicy for a pinot with a left over flavor of cherry jubilee! My goodness, this is amazing. Probably the best Pinot Noir I have ever had. If you like my wines I promise you will like this one. What a great summer Red!
Im buying a case! Good job Peter Rosback! My new hero in wine making! I can't wait to try your Cabernet! — 9 years ago
Comparing this ‘12 against the PH Stagecoach ‘12 was just a spoil of riches. Very different wines in flavor profile, but very similar in texture. Whereas the PH was very dark fruit dominant with mineral notes, this was more finesse driven showing bright black cherries, mocha, cherries jubilee sweetness and some sandalwood on the nose. So well balanced on the palate with more sweet red fruit and Andes mint chocolate mint at the finish. — 6 years ago
After the Italian wine earlier in the night, why not finish the meal with an Italian night cap! I had the ‘15 a few weeks back and thought it was one of the best dessert wines I’ve had in recent memory.
In comparison to the ‘15, this seemed quite oxidized. More so than expected. Darker in color with a sherry like color, losing its typical gold color. Aromatically, they were almost the same...roasted and honeyed pineapple, apricot preserve and honeycomb. On the palate though, it was more nutty and caramelized cherries jubilee. Very good, but not as impressive as the ‘15. — 7 years ago
Cassis and licorice on the nose with dark chocolate on the palate with a cherry jubilee finish. Reminds me of nighttime, darkness, gothic. Maybe because of the deep purple, dark chocolate with greater than expected velvety tannins. Not your typical Merlot, but what you would expect from the Wagner family- Very Jammy, but also very rich — 7 years ago

Smacks you in the face with French oak - clove, nutmeg, vanilla bean, cedar bark. There is a richness to the oak, which mellows with air. Plum, blackcherry, and black raspberry fruit too... rich and extracted in style. Palate delivers smokey dark cherry and plum, with cocoa shavings engulfed in vanilla and baking spices. Think cherry jubilee with vanilla bean ice cream. Tannins have softened and are balanced beautifully with elegant acidity. Rich and opulent. This is winter time fireside wine - pair with dark chocolate mousse. Drink now with a splash decant. — 6 years ago
