Morlet Family Vineyards
Bouquet Garni Bennett Valley Syrah

Stunning concentration, at first lean and taught with juicy and bright acidity. After an hour in the glass this has grown tremendously. The nose is like a Black Forest cake, chocolate cake and cherry aromas galore. The palate is richer, the spice and meaty flavors are drenched in cherries jubilee, blackberry pie too. A crazy long finish with ripe tannins that barely feel like they are there. All of this is well balanced and not a trace of oak. I would like to try this again in a few years after it sheds the still plenty baby fat!

Finally trying the 2009 Morlet Bouquet Garni the nose has a peppery earthy & the comm#es a blackberry liqueur, the palate I has a rich cassis & blackberry syrup with a couch or pencil lead or graphite and soft tannins integrating in this wine with a long finish!
