A field of fresh real strawberry mingled with blackberry bramble and mint.
This nose continues to influence the wines light bodied flavor nuances.
Cherry skins, ripe red fruits, feathery vanilla tannins, crisp and well integrated horseshoe acidity. (Front and sides of tongue)
Delightful.
Robbing the cradle.. — 7 years ago
Made in the central part of Saint-Joseph, on the steepest hill (above the village of Mauves) with granite soil (just like Hermitage) from 90+ year old vines. The name of the vineyard is called simply 'Saint Joseph'. This is the original part of the appellation. In other words 'Le Berceau' (the cradle). Powerful wine, dark fruit, smoked meats. On the bold side of the spectrum, but damn great. — 10 years ago

Best execution from Cali of a top burgundy. All seafood menu and it was perfect. If you rob the cradle, decant early ... Last taste will be the best. Keep for your 2020 fete. — 11 years ago

El sabor intenso a chabacano y cebada de este vilanovés es muy cautivante. Los albariños no defraudan, eso para mí es un hecho hasta el momento. Refrescante como la brisa de Pontevedra de su cuna.
The intense flavor of apricot and barley of this vilanovés is very captivating. Albariño do not disappoint, that for me is a fact so far. Refreshing as the breeze of Pontevedra from its cradle. — 7 years ago
Big fan of orange wine. Bergamot tea notes abound, tasted like an ancient ritual. — 8 years ago
Open a little more than an hour and is just really showing its breadth. Spice, acidity and round tannins. Fragrant and lovely nose. Red fruit, chocolate, and plum. RP gave this 97 so I thought I'd rob the cradle for a nice Christmas treat after the craziness of the day is over. Probably a good rating but needs some more time. — 9 years ago
Literally it means 'the cradle of elfs', which points out that this wine is made from a recently replanted plot within the Roches aux Moines vineyard in Savennières. Salty & rich expression of Chenin with a clear natural wine character and a frayed end (that I love about it). — 9 years ago
Funky, medium bodied and carrying the right amount of acidity to cradle the dark black fruits and black peppered cured meat tones. — 10 years ago
drink like a baron, with heavy artillery: 3L of creamy, perfectly balanced Barons de Rothschild #Champagne Brut NV perfectly balanced on my trusty VCanter wine cradle — 11 years ago
Robbed the cradle, initially dismissed it as a generic natural wine, day two opened up to reveal some generosity and a hint of fruit. But this wine is really all about the minerals. Like drinking black stones. — 13 years ago
Robbing the cradle I know, yet have to taste when I grab a trinity.
Smells like roasted animal fat (as a Pescatarian, the same qualities are very similar) and old socks.
Tastes of olive oil (Animal fat) Herbs de Provence, leather, Tabac.
This finishes with medium tannin/acid mouthfeel.
This is a nice Cab Franc. South America shines!

Full of potential but robbing the cradle. Snappy, nice intensity. — 6 years ago
