I remember this being very good and being impressed with JP Pinot when visiting. At 8 years this wine has developed really well and still has a couple years to it left. There’s a good black pepper on the nose with dried leaves, tree bark, and red currant. The acidity rushes down the side of my mouth with a mild tannin finish on the tip of the tongue. Jolly Pumpkin Maracaibo Especial. Nice drinkable sour ale of the JP tradition with some prominent dry cocoa flavor. Do not be fooled by the label of brown ale, which is generally the most disappointing beer style on the planet.
