Well shit. Wildly expressive nose of tea, kirsch, saddle, fennel and sage. Started off too cold but with temperature increase opened up to a beautiful, elegant style CDP with cherry, blackberry, and all sorts of rustic garrigueness. A smoky, blue fruit finish. Tannins and acidity and alcohol all in perfect formation. Just awesome — 8 years ago
Love the acid and style of this wine. Didn't quite stand up against the richer wines in this flight, but again it's is own animal. Lots of carbonic character. Day two it lost that primary effervescence and showed much more weight on the palate. Definitely the outlier in the group. Would like to see this with at least 5 years of age. — 10 years ago
Smooth fruit-forward medium-bodied cab — 11 years ago
Richer style. Like a hug. Very brioche nose. Body and faint sweetness make this suitable for heavier foods or dessert. An aperitif not so much. — 5 years ago

With Dawn, like French wine - great mouth taste and nice finish — 6 years ago
Trying the 2012. Very nice with hint of cherries. Been so used to the US Pinots of late that I missed going back to the Burgundy region. This wine is excellent. — 10 years ago

One of my favorites. Delicate but not weak red cherry. Easy breezy drinking. A smooth balance of fruit and acid. — 11 years ago

There are two kinds of st Joseph. This is one of the good ones. Long finish. Complex. Quite serious. — a year ago
