I’ve never been a huge Chilean wine guy, apparently I need to dig deeper. This 100% Pias from Maule Valley has me rethinking the region entirely. Naturally fermented in cement, finished in oak. Plummy, funky, spice box. Strangely good. Noted: José Pastor Selections. Def need to drink again. Thanks @Adrienne Bax — 7 years ago
Jesus, this Jose Pastor portfolio is one of the best selections of wineries I have ever seen. What a portfolio this Luis Rodriguez is amazing, as is ithe Envinate and Jose Nanclares — 9 years ago
Yay Jose Pastor! — 10 years ago
Bright briar fruit and black pepper initially, fleshing out into blueberry pie and baking spice on the second night. Absolutely delicious, juicy, spicy Mencia with both muscle and finesse-both weighty and low alcohol. What a steal from the Jose Pastor portfolio. — 7 years ago
Love what Jose Pastor is importing right now. During my travels throughout Spain last summer, orange wine was a prevalent drink in all of the 3 Michelin star restaurants. Without a doubt I would say orange wine is the next rose. notes of citrus and rose petals on the nose. Thyme, Coriander, navel orange, grapefruit, lemon zest on the palate. Great minerality and finish. Hope to get more of this soon! — 7 years ago

this is a killer new offering from Jose Pastor, drinks like northern rhone Roussanne — 9 years ago
Enchanting! Or is it because we know it's from the Canary Islands? Think Etna ( volcanic) softer spoken. Mineral Core w black cherries & herbs. Light frame. Eye opener. Plus cool bottle-no front label, has a pour spout, & less than 20$. Jose Pastor import — 10 years ago
Jose Pastor continues to rock my world for flat-out value. This is a very elegant wine. Crushed berries, earth, spice and black pepper. Floral elements remind me of an old-school Saint Joseph. True delicacy and finesse from a great producer. — 7 years ago
Favorite of the Bichi Mexican wines. All were awesome, thanks to Dustin Wilson MS and Jose Pastor for bringing these gems to NYC. Officially a believer of Mexican vino. — 8 years ago
A little disjointed but showing a lot better than the Arcilla did a few months ago, and I'm thinking a few months more ought to knit these together nicely. Gushing with warm dark fruit but also has plenty of crackle and crunch on account of a green-apple sort of acidity that's very unusual to experience in a red wine. The Jose Pastor web site says this is from one of the highest elevation sites in the zone at 1,000 meters so that crackling texture makes perfect sense. It also has 15% Albillo (a white grape) and yet the complexion feels darker and the fruit more voluptuous than the 100% tempranillo Arcilla. — 9 years ago
Very fun. Light. Jose Pastor Import. Bought at Spanish Table. — 11 years ago

Canary Island product. Pale harvest orange-yellow, excellent clarity. Dried fruit or fruit leather notes in nose. Smoky apricot, peach flavors with a touch of salinity. Really different white; yes, a curiosity, but also a good pour. Some astringency in finish. — 6 years ago
