Transparent burgundy with orange tinged halo in the glass. On the nose, one detects dark cherry, black pepper, and barely a hint of floral notes. The dark cherries reappear in the mouth with a bit of smoky sweet complexity and medium tannins. Finish lingers a little. I’d say it is quite a nice versatile wine. — 6 years ago

Pastiche has half price wines on Wednesday’s so I went for one of their higher priced ($64) bottles. Haven’t had a Jack London Vineyard in a long time so I thought this was the time to try it. Not very complex and a tad sweet. I’m amazed that they can sell this at the $64 price on other nights. Don’t know the retail for this wine. Don’t think I would order again. — 6 years ago

Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965, with a mission to produce California's first world-class sparkling wines. Today, led by their son Hugh, continues with this commitment to quality. A 100% Chardonnay, straw yellow with aromas of stone and citrus fruits, with floral scents. A terrific sparkler shows crisp green apple, orange and grapefruit zest. A medium-bodied, wine with a great mousse, tiny bubbles and nice length on the finish ending with some crisp mineral notes. — 9 years ago

I'm not a whiskey drinker, but when I do this is always my choice. The strength of whiskey is nicely balanced with honey, which you can definitely taste here! Perfect neat, or with ice or as a hot whiskey for cold weather. — 9 years ago

Thia is spectacular. Deeply endless blue fruit and a mealy savoury nose. Pure full bodied fruit , with tannin and spice nextz fig jam but not jammy. Vvg — 5 years ago
