Jack Florence Vineyard

Dashe Cellars

Florence Vineyard Zinfandel

This one aging gracefully. Primary fruity and floral aromatics have evolved into loamy dark fruits. On the palate it maintains its elegance and freshness and shows black cherry, black raspberry and subtler spice notes with a very satisfying finish! 2011 Vintage — 8 years ago

Napa Valley Merlot 2004

Blackberry, mint and bramble on the nose. On the palate this was a bit of an enigma. At first it was hot and alcohol but then transformed into an inky and spicy finish. — 9 years ago

@Martin G Rivard Interestingly, the Larkin came in last of the five Merlots we tasted blind. Although it was my second favorite behind the Shafer!

Renwood Winery 2013 Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel

Strong aromatics of black currant and anise are woven together with crushed raspberry, sweet cream, and hints of cedar. On the palate, the layered complexity of this wine is complimented by its excellent weight and balance, making it a signature Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel. Fresh and teeming with black cherry and hazelnut, this Zinfandel will evolve beautifully in the bottle for years to come.

100% Zinfandel.

Schramsberg Vineyards

Napa Valley Brut Blanc de Blancs 2012

Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965, with a mission to produce California's first world-class sparkling wines. Today, led by their son Hugh, continues with this commitment to quality. A 100% Chardonnay, straw yellow with aromas of stone and citrus fruits, with floral scents. A terrific sparkler shows crisp green apple, orange and grapefruit zest. A medium-bodied, wine with a great mousse, tiny bubbles and nice length on the finish ending with some crisp mineral notes. — 9 years ago

Kruse Vineyards Chardonnay 2006

This Jack Creek chard has really held up. Beautiful flavors of honeysuckle and mesquite with a touch of toasty oak. Glad Brent was able to hold on to this for 10 years! — 9 years ago

Kenwood Vineyards

Jack London Vineyard Sonoma Valley Zinfandel 1995

1995 vintage Zinfandel. Firm upper cork gave way a bit on the inside lower half inch but removed it all with a little care. That cork was Tight for twenty years. Must have been bold when young. It was pale light red, almost heavily faded but smelled sweet. Not as sweet to the taste but a mellow and a hint of cranberry after airing out. Dry. — 10 years ago

Blend #5 Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Not very full until about 2 hours after opening, but turned out to be full bodied, fruity and very smooth. Definitely a worthy purchase at $25. — 10 years ago

Estate Pinot Noir 2011

Drinking beautifully, this is their regular pinot that outpaces a number of "reserve" offerings from other wineries. Was a bit fruit-forward a couple of years ago, but has really integrated over the past two years. — 9 years ago

Love that he put Pritchard Hill right on the bottle. Really good but needed hours of decanting and was still a little tight. Put away for a while. — 9 years ago
