Renwood Winery 2013 Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel

Strong aromatics of black currant and anise are woven together with crushed raspberry, sweet cream, and hints of cedar. On the palate, the layered complexity of this wine is complimented by its excellent weight and balance, making it a signature Jack Rabbit Flat Zinfandel. 1995 vintage Zinfandel. Firm upper cork gave way a bit on the inside lower half inch but removed it all with a little care. That cork was Tight for twenty years. Must have been bold when young. It was pale light red, almost heavily faded but smelled sweet. Not as sweet to the taste but a mellow and a hint of cranberry after airing out. Dry. — 11 years ago
