A little funky but precise, quite mineral and very delicious. — 6 years ago
2008 PY Colin Moret Montrachet. Drank at N Mal w J&D B. Interesting to drink this alongside the ‘07 DRC Montrachet. People had a hard time picking a fave. — 7 years ago

1999 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche burgundy. Dinner at Cr's w J&L B. No decanting, poured straight from the bottle. Perfect. — 8 years ago
Magnum 1990 A. Rousseau Clos St. Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin. J&D B brought for our dinner together at Vin. K and I had never had this particular wine in large format before and it was unbelievably fantastic! Couldn't get over how good this wine was. It was just so balanced with absolutely no harsh edges to it and a finish that just kept going. Truly one of the best wines we can remember having. — 8 years ago

A shockingly clean and dry Riesling with subtle skittles-like aroma. Significantly more enjoyable on day 2 (a decanter not available to me). I am far from an expert on this stuff but I would imagine some more years under the belt might help this yield more? Acid for days but not aggressive. Just tightly wound. A fascinating encounter. — 6 years ago
1985 Sassicaia. Dinner J&D B at Best. Did not decant. Drank before the ‘82 Haut Brion. Excellent. John says it is the best Sassicaia he’s had. Tons of fruit- dark berries. Really rich and round and plush. — 7 years ago
Deep in colour and looks like a big Auslese. Same as the 1990 but just a shade of mouthful sweetness. It’s still a pretty dry wine but hits the spot. — 7 years ago
Smoked chx w/ B & J! — 8 years ago
Really funky looking cork, sludgy as fuck. Needed to blow off its captivity but was pure and delicious after about 10 minutes. Really enjoyed this. Starting to integrate the sugar nicely. Would be curious to revisit after some more years. Or to try again with spicy food. — 9 years ago
Magnum 2015 PYCM Les Chenevottes Chassagne Montrachet. Dinner w J&L B at Nob. Awesome. Lots of mineral notes. Loved it. — 6 years ago
2012 Peter Michael Ma Danseusse Pinot Noir. Jaws at HB w J&L B and B&K K. No decanting. Tons of fruit. Easy to drink. Enjoyed. — 7 years ago
This changed a few times over the course of 90 minutes. Eventually resulting in a very delicately perfumed wine with lime, white flowers, nectarine, and petrol. Medium acidity. Lighter texture on the palate. Great value, $65 on list — 7 years ago
