1999 DRC Romanee St. Vivant. Lunch at The Ivy w FcClure. Met the Aussies at this lunch. We decanted for a little over an hour before drinking and it was absolutely gorgeous. This wine was perfect. Such a treat- we really enjoyed this wine. — 10 years ago

1990 DRC Echezeaux. Drank at lunch w DS and Carrie at The Ivy. Some air had gotten in and top felt spongey, so we were nervous, but this wine was excellent. It was a beautiful, dusty brick color, velvety, lush and round to drink. Such a treat! — 10 years ago

2011 DuMol Chardonnay. Drank w Rick at dinner at Ivy at the Shore. Love this wine. Wet stone all thru the bottle. Not too acidic, balanced mineral, buttery, but not overly oaky. Great white wine. — 11 years ago

1997 Ornellaia MLA Cab. Second red at lunch at Ivy w K and Iana. Such a great contrast to the DuMol pinot. This wine was more brown, earthy, smooth and without sharp edges. Delicious. Such a treat — 11 years ago

2011 DuMol Ryan Russian River Pinot Noir. Drank w Rick at dinner at Ivy at the Shore. Love this wine. Rich jammy strawberry, raspberry, and plum balanced with wet stone. Smooth mineral notes that weren't too sharp or acidic. Really love this wine. — 11 years ago

2002 DRC Richebourg Burgundy. Drank in celebration of McC during lunch at Ivy w K. Beautifully brick color and wonderfully complex wine. Lots of acid and tannins on the wine and it changed quite a bit through the meal. We decanted over an hour before drinking but would have left it longer if we had the time.
