1990 DRC Echezeaux. Drank at lunch w DS and Carrie at The Ivy. Some air had gotten in and top felt spongey, so we were nervous, but this wine was excellent. It was a beautiful, dusty brick color, velvety, lush and round to drink. Such a treat! — 10 years ago

2003. Everything still in balance...just enough tannin and acidity, wrapped in spiced berry flavors. This was the right time to drink this one-on the occasion of an Ivy League MBA graduation! — 11 years ago

Nice old world blend. - earthy as expected. Tight at first but opens up nicely and quickly. Rating affirmed 4/10/17, after relaxing from Ivy League tour. — 10 years ago
Mag- on open ivy/leather. Dark garnet color. Aerated for 3hrs- deep blue fruit and forest floor, touch of spice with a back palate sweetness (strawberry). At 6 hrs cleaned up blue fruit, very subtle spice and acid:fruit was more in balance. Fine wine. — 10 years ago

2002 DRC Richebourg Burgundy. Drank in celebration of McC during lunch at Ivy w K. Beautifully brick color and wonderfully complex wine. Lots of acid and tannins on the wine and it changed quite a bit through the meal. We decanted over an hour before drinking but would have left it longer if we had the time. Lovely and such an amazing treat. — 10 years ago
