Off the scales elegant, refined and beautifully lifted. Roses and dark cherry with stems on the nose led a seamless and perfectly integrated Orni verging on Burgundy. Restrained power and overt femininity. So lovely from magnum. Drink over next 5 years.

Like a layer of dust resting upon a long, flat stone, doused in cocoa spice and dark fruit acids, primarily dark berries, with a slight spicy greenness running through the spine, and finally a bit of oak to focus all the dimensions.

Nose is a bit earthy and cow pasturey, but palate is lush, smooth and ready to drink.

It’s spectacular, but I wonder if Double Magnums shouldn’t be a protected species. Bit of pepper.
