Increidbly accessible entry point for one of Italy's best producers. Still, would prefer Guidalberto from the arch nemesis. — 11 years ago

This Pinot Bianco shows brilliant yellow gold in the glass, a really gorgeous tint. One whiff gives you the lowdown on Italy's Alto Adige region - minerals aplenty. A plethora of minerals. More minerals than at which you can shake a stick. There is fruit on the nose, but that apricot aroma is there only because it was invited by the minerals. In the mouth, razor-sharp acidity tingles like a low-voltage current. Apricot pokes its head out the door again, but returns to the party in the company of the minerals. — 11 years ago

Named Italy's best white wine by Gambero Rosso...proved to be quiet enjoyable — 13 years ago
this isn't just a pack of wine!! this wine is Italy's organic wine. You should try this! — 14 years ago
This was full of complex red fruits and smokey, leathery earth that made for knock-out aroma and flavor. And somehow, this is brilliantly fresh and balanced--don't ask me where they're hiding the 17% abv! Like Italy's island answer to chateauneuf du pape but more alive. My favorite wine from sardegna to date. — 11 years ago
2012, Adelaide. Extremely deep purple. Very smooth aromas of fresh crushed ripe plums and eucalyptus. Beautiful raspberries and light spices, perfect match with a simple big piece of steak to me! Well done Adelaide, still have to work hard to beat Italy's montepulciano though! — 11 years ago
One of Italy's best whites, this Friulano expresses the essence of the grape and its terroir well. Floral, ripe lemon, honeysuckle, pear, with tense minerality, and fantastic acidity. #friulano — 12 years ago
This is a very rare wine made from a single 40 hectare vineyard Italian grape called "ruche." A well-known Italian critic gave this and the previous, 2011 vintage 99 points and declared it Italy's best red wine. I don't know about all that, but it's a very good wine. If give it 94 points. Unusual combination of flowers, earth, smoke, and red fruits on the nose and palate. A very good wine. Excellent with food as well. — 12 years ago
Italy's finest white wine? I certainly think so! — 13 years ago
Wild stuff. Minerals, lemon pith, guava juice, lime skin, dusty soil. Italy's take on Sauvignon Blanc — 14 years ago
Buttery, toasty, fruity, perfect example of Italy's high end sparkling. — 10 years ago
Nebbiolo grapes in the appellation of Valtellina in Italy's Lombardia region with their name of Chivavennasca, very sensuous red with a velvet finish. — 10 years ago

This is a ruby red gem at 14.0% ABV. Italy's Puglua IGP Zinfandel is labelled Primitivo. An bold aroma of blackberry fruit, fresh plum, and a hint of raspberry jam is met with a palate reflective of aromas. Mouthwatering, fleshy, flavourful, medium + tannins, medium bodied, medium plus fruit, this wine has tertiary notes of earthiness. This wine is a wonderfully captured expression of warm climate — 11 years ago
One of Italy's great lesser-known whites. Please don't compete with my efforts to buy all of it — 12 years ago
Found this winery while driving a 60-year-old Fiat on tour of Italy's Chianti region. This is a wonderful wine at a wonderful price. — 12 years ago
Wow after a Great Night, what a Surprise!! Italy's to Cab?? — 12 years ago
Beautiful Valpolicella from one of Italy's best. Tobacco, cherry liqueur and just the most persistent mouthfeel I have ever experienced. — 13 years ago
Unoaked Nebbiolo? Italy's answer to the Napa Cab, and it wins. — 13 years ago

An approachable surprise from a challenged vintage. It presents a thicker ruby colour than the more common red garnet of most Chianti's possibly reflecting the Merlot in its blend. A traditional Italian aroma of blackberries, cherries, leather and earth its first taste reaction from a friend was "wow this is smooth'" not silky but still smooth. Well balanced with enough acid to retain its juicy finish. From one of Italy's oldest wineries this wine will not let you down. 14.0% Abv. Cheers — 10 years ago
