I got the, “I could drink the whole darn bottle right now!”, tastey note right out of the gate. Hope I make it to work tomorrow? — 7 years ago
Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!
Main reason we go out this time of year each year...the Flora Springs Trilogy Release Party! Very similar in style to their Rutherford Reserve Cab with more chocolate and roasted plum alongside red & black fruit. More plush than their other offerings. — 7 years ago
Subtle spice/pepper on the nose. Berry fruit with some resinous woody flavor followed by a nice bit of clovey finish that moderates the fruit. Smooth finish. A pleasant drinking wine for the price. — 7 years ago
Full bodied and balanced. I like it a lot. — 8 years ago
Great to see sweet fortified wines still being made in Europe outside the traditional areas. Made from the local Teroldego grape, it's a rich purple colour, with bright, fresh red and black fruits. Intense, but very alive. Drunk and enjoyed with chocolate mousse trilogy. — 9 years ago
Annual guys WTF Christmas party with spouses. Lots of great wine. I’ll post my highlights with pics I got.
Undoubtedly the best Flora Springs wine I’ve had to date. Always a special place in my heart for FS as their Trilogy wine was the wine that opened my eyes to the world of wine (and we trek out to Napa every year for the Trilogy Release party...6 weeks from today!). This offering, along with Rennie’s Reserve, are my favorites out of their single vineyard offerings. With 7yrs of age, this has really gotten compact and structured. So much sweet and dense fruit here...very dark fruit profile, along with creme de cassis, sandalwood and dust. Fig, nutmeg, with mixed berry pie toward the finish. Pop and pour! Thanks @Benjamin Keator . — 6 years ago

Soft tannins. Chocolate and strawberry preserves. Well balanced. — 7 years ago
A well balanced augustiatis, quite rare outside Greece — 7 years ago

Petite Sirah. Not Malbec. Still delicious — 9 years ago
One of my all time favorite wineries. (Probably because an old and well aged Trilogy is what got me hooked on wine!) Dark and purple. Slow moving legs. Smells of heavenly blackberries and currant...slight hint of leather. Tasted beautifully of vanilla oak, cinnamon and cola. Loved it as always. — 9 years ago
Finally getting around to posting wines from my annual Napa trip from two weeks ago. Always goes by quick! Lots of fun new stops this year.
One of the main reasons we go to Napa every year is to attend the Trilogy Release party. Trilogy holds a special place in my family’s heart and it’s always a treat to visit the estate where they pour it like water!
Very good now, and time will obviously help. Their Rutherford Hillside Reserve is my favorite single vineyard offering, but this is a close second. Lots of richly dark chocolate coated red, blue and black berry fruits, baking spices, plum and graphite aromatics. It drinks with added notes of dusty/chalky plum, cedar, and savory herbal spice. — 6 years ago

Don’t recall if I tricked this back from Crete or no but whatever. It’s as easy drinking with smooth plum skin and cherry. Dry without being too sweet. Perfect with a Philly 7.10.87 — 7 years ago
A wonderful tasting put on by Classic Wine Storage featuring Long Shadows Winery. If you aren’t familiar with these wines, they are phenomenal WA state wines that are made by the likes of Randy Dunn, Phillipe Melka, Michel Rolland, John DuVall, and more.
Approachable red blend. To me, this is the pop and pour wine out of the lineup. Very plush. This reminds me of Flora Springs Trilogy Blend out of Napa with a bit more fruit on the finish. More milk chocolate than dark. Boysenberry, blue and black fruit medley. — 7 years ago

M= 8.6. Both - smooth, dry, as remembered. A favorite. Not as good at 2012. — 9 years ago
Alexandre Pagliano
Blackcurrant and dark berries, asphalt, leather, and floral notes. Silky tannins, medium bodied with medium plus length, this is a wine of finesse for a Pauillac. Highly recommended. Third in the trilogy of great french wines tonight. Happy 4th of July !!! — 5 years ago
