Tremendous mixture of autumnal, rustic, tertiairy components and mature dark fruit notes wafts from the glass. Cured ham, mocca, warm chestnuts, cocoa, sandalwood and dried plummy, figgy fruit intermingle on the gentle and friendly palate. Reminds me of mid-nineties Bdx-wines, but its acidity and tannines are much softer. Or have integrated better.
A treat, and a bargain. — 9 years ago
Ripe peach and dried apricot intermingle with some pit notes. I've been drinking this wine from many years and I'm always pleased for how well this wine drinks at such a low price point. The 2012 is more dense and concentrated from other vintages- always worth grabbing when available. — 9 years ago
Very sweet and not dry at all. Easy to drink! — 9 years ago
Big dark spicy “fruit cake” aromas and palate impressions intermingle nicely and wrap thickly around the palate. — 9 years ago
Massive aromas of black raspberry, cherry and plum with just a hint of stone. Juicy and a bit spicy on the palate with lots of bright acidity. Rich, lush fruit flavors intermingle with soft, round tannins and a nice amount of earth. The finish is long and drying with bright acidity. — 10 years ago
Dark perfumed aromas of blueberry jam combine with cocoa, vanilla cream, and tobacco. The palate is bold, complex and fruitful. Loganberry and blackberry intermingle with dark chocolate, and are seamlessly brought together with perceptible tannins that sustain a long and youthful finish.

Outstanding lemonade nose. Lemon head candies intermingle with a bitter tartness. Well done. — 10 years ago
White flowers beautifully intermingle with yellow fruit and that limestone mineral character shines through
P - poised in the mouth with rounded apple and lemon fruit with a mineral finish. — 11 years ago
Sharing a sentimental favorita with my babe on Xmas Eve, 2016. The musky perfume of Carignan old vines intermingle with the violets, thorns, and garrigue of Grenache-- all of it grown on a limestone cliff that clings to the old pagan culture of the Cathars. Wishing everyone such timeless succor of family & vino! — 8 years ago
Black and white pepper intermingle with dark black cherry and leather, with just a hint of dried flowers there to remind you you're drinking an Italian, not a Bordeaux. Very nice. — 9 years ago
Dark Ruby, with gentle aromas of red fruits layered with floral spice. On the palate cherry and cranberry intermingle with spices, herbs, cacao and coffee notes. Fine grained tannins were noted, well balanced on the long, mineral finish. Very Nice! — 9 years ago
2011 Liz Chambers 'Shea' #PinotNoir #Oregonwine #sommelier #sommlife. In a year shunned by many, great winemakers made great wine. This Shea is really strutting right now. Notes of violet, pomegranate, tart cherry intermingle with a romp through a fall forest with a whiff of vanilla spice hanging in the air. Soft and elegant; very long finish. — 9 years ago
Beautiful sherry and vanilla intermingle tastefully in this smooth, rich, round Irish whiskey. A real cut above. — 9 years ago
2010 Vintage. Slight sprits on opening. Probably, a low sulphur wine. However, once decanted the wine delivered. The nose is complex. Dark cherry, raspberry and orange rind intermingle with hints of charred chorizo, mushroom consume, coffee and spice. The palate is juicy and generous balanced with supple long tannins. Dark cherry, charcuterie, mushroom and spice intermingle. Finish savoury and compelling. Yum — 10 years ago
Amazing depth and clarity of fruit from nose to palate. Smells range from coffee-tar to mushroom mulch and black cherry au jus. Lovely cherry blossom notes intermingle with rose water. The tannins are big initially, but harmonize rapidly in the glass. The drying sensation in no way detracts from the fruit which is bright plum and melange of cherries including bing finishing with aloft raspberry pillow. The balance is there, the stony, schisty minerality, and the oak is perfect, allowing the wine to speak in all its elegant Chiantese! Muscle for the money!! Feed this beauty something earthy, beefy or both! — 10 years ago
2008 absolutely shocked at the PQR for this wine. A textbook example of what a fine Burgundy should bring to the table. And thats without ruining your budget. Crisp and ripe red cherries, raspberries, sloe berries intermingle with a delicate steminess, almost a little peppery. Well polished tannins that make you salivate longing for more. In its own league its an A + — 10 years ago
Fragrant aromas of cherry, cassis and mocha immediately please the nose and intermingle effortlessly with raspberry and cranberry notes. Bold flavors of boysenberry, black pepper and rich chocolate fill out the palate and are complimented by silky tannins a long finish. — 11 years ago
A beautiful earthy wine, subtle red and dark fruit intermingle with the soft tannins making this wine a perfect food pairing champion! #Montalcino #Sangiovese sells for just under a Jackson. — 11 years ago
A rare vintage where the Americans and the Europeans were in agreement that it was a five star year. Powerful yet elegant made in a neo-classical style that's pleasing from the first sip. Typical aromas of dried morello cherry, black tea, rosemary, plum, soy intermingle into a palate layered with delicious, refined cooperage that tastes decadent with every sip. Tons of complexity and character without any bitter bite or over assertive ripe fruit. 2 plants to make one bottle of this world class riserva. A beautiful testament to applied effort and viticultural knowledge. — 9 years ago
Berry aromas. Not very acidic, mellow. The varietals intermingle nicely. Slightly fruity with some jam and a hint of spice in the finish. — 9 years ago
Pours dark. Herbal and savory, would remind me of Nebbiolo if it had some tar and roses. Fresh and bright without being a fruit-bomb, and with some sophistication lent by the herbs. Rosemary, mint, and some grassy notes intermingle. This is a biodynamic wine, grown by Marie Belevier. 85% Merlot, 15% Cab Franc, aged in 50% new oak for 15 months. Unfiltered. — 9 years ago
Very concentrated and intense fruit with dense cherry and spiced blackberry aromas and some smoke and leather on the nose intermingle with some camphor and pepper. The palate shows great intensity of fruit with spiced raspberry, blackberry, and pressed currant with a dose of pepper and firm tannins. Finish shows more dark and red fruits when some Christmas spice. I love this wine! — 10 years ago
This is a stunner with an amazing mid-palate, where ripe dark berries intermingle with milk chocolate, spicy oak, roasted herbs and sexy, sweet tannins. Positive development adds partially dried plums and figs; all balanced by a lowish but pure streak of acididy. — 10 years ago
An intense, bright, golden yellow, this Chardonnay has aroma notes of citrus and quince with tropical fruits, such as banana and pineapple, that intermingle with fine hint of toast that lend complexity. On the palate, this wine is well-rounded and lush with tremendous balance and acidity that refreshes the palate from beginning to end. This Chardonnay culminates in a long and elegant fruity finish. — 10 years ago
Delicious, fragrant, citrus-infused aromas and flavors intermingle with chalky minerality, fine-tuned oak ageing and a floral lift on the youthful, tight finish. — 11 years ago

Very cool! Alcohol hits the nostrils in a negative fashion initially but once settled down (and brought down on temperature), it blossoms. Aged fudge, honey, molasses and candied dark fruits intermingle with dried figs, white raisins and dates; nuttiness too. Lots going on, but lacks subtlety considering its age. — 8 years ago
