Perhaps the best bottle of wine I have ever had! Pure perfection! Elegant, rich, perfectly balanced, huge aromas, still tons of fruit, and a finish that's still lingering. Better still, I enjoyed this bottle at Martin Berasetegui in San Sebastián, a 3 star Michelin restaurant. Outstanding!! — 11 years ago
What's not to love? Oh when the waiter keeps refilling the glasses and not letting the wine breath. Perfection in a bottle — 11 years ago
It would have been impossible to give this the time it needed to open up. On honeymoon in Tuscany and one of the best bottles of wine I've had the opportunity to try in my life. And we scored it for a great price! — 12 years ago

This was not only the WOTN but is definitely the WOTY for me. My head snapped back in utter amazement as soon as I enjoyed my 1st sniff of the nose. Holy mother of all wines is this bottle absolutely stunning and perfect. It's by far the best wine that I have had the privilege to enjoy. This is exactly what I was expecting from the famed 61!!!!!! It was simply perfect. A truly perfect example of what Latour is and what every Bordeaux blend in the world aspires to be. Utter perfection in its opulence & decadence: blackberry, black currant, intense & soaring aromatics. You could enjoy the nose at arms length!!! Simply & utterly stunning. Thank you Jeff!!!!!!!!!!@Jeffrey Lew — 9 years ago

Narun P
Heavily scuffed label that it is impossible to identify the vintage.
Bricked purple. Opaque and non-transparent. Widened rim.
Dried black currant, herbaceous, dusty red soil.
Great traditional Napa structure - medium high acidity, medium body, harmonious tannin, dry. Amazing pedigree of a wine. Black currant, blackberry, dark cherry. No trace of stewed fruits or overripeness.
This is the traditionalist's dream wine. Fresh, no over-extraction, sensible oak barrel usage. Long lasting and classic. 92. — 9 years ago
