Can't lie. Drinking straight out of the can. But it's 100 degrees outside. This pure Michigan IPA has a copper hue and a nice malty backbone not present in West Coast IPA's. Centennial hops spice up the citrus and give it muscle. — 8 years ago
A pilsner with good flavor, hops, crisp. Good on a hot day. — 8 years ago
Right up my alley--great balance of malt and hops, solid alcohol backbone but not overdone like some other Imperials. 90 Minute is still my benchmark, but this is a very worthy horse in those stables. Excellent! — 8 years ago
Very hoppy without punching my hops receptors in the face. — 8 years ago
Great flavor! Wine is steeped in hops after fermentation. — 7 years ago
Probably the best IPA this brewery produces, a company Secret of their farm raised hops, adds to The intrigue and tasty IPA, Grapefruit citrus and pine, nice of balance malts, a very good beer in the style — 8 years ago
Big hype about this beer, as is "Hop Slam" this one much easy to get, in fact, in CA you can get in many places all the time, price is reasonable too, just check the bottled or canned on dates since it travels far, solid IPA, really nothing new or different, just done very well in the style, if you like your IPA's balanced between malt and hops, like Dogfish then this is perfect fit you, not for me, I prefer the hops be the "Show" but I am not knocking the Beer for that, just I think it is a little over rated — 8 years ago
It showcases bright flavors and aromas of apricot, peach, mango & lemon. The lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin fish is considered some of the tastiest. Something that has a sting but tastes great; sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale. This version of Sculpin IPA has grapefruit added; the grapefruit flavor really enhances the citrus aroma of the hops. — 8 years ago
A beautiful bouquet of hops and peach, very aromatic. I like this one. — 8 years ago
I look forward to this beer every year. By far the best mass production ipa made. The perfect amount of bitter hops. — 9 years ago
Variation on Ballast Point's IPL, India Pale Larger, very nicely done, the orange and vanilla are present, just not the dominating flavors, I tend to enjoy this a little more, especially when it warms up slightly, the orange and vanilla come out more, very good, very good in the style, if you are like me and not a big fan of the larger style, I think you will enjoy this, the hops cover that typical grainy yeast you get with lagers — 8 years ago
Awesome hops! — 8 years ago
Triple nouveau monde. Arômes de fruits tropicaux tel l'ananas et les agrumes. Amertume moyenne et notes d'alcool persistantes en arrière bouche. Saveurs d'agrumes très présentes en bouche. Excellent. — 8 years ago
Winner winner. Great stuff! Hint of caramel. Mellow hops. Nothing bitter at the finish. — 8 years ago

A marvelous deep toned ale with unique flavors of hops and earthy tones that everyone looks for in a great beer to relax with at the end of the day. One of my favorite beers brewed in the U.S. — 7 years ago
