Stone, honey, peach limestone. Golden and intense. Balanced with some toasty notes but lovely purity and balance. — 5 months ago
Where do I begin… this wine is stunning.
It is positively golden in color with concentrated notes of caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, creme brûlée, dried apricot, yellow apple, peach, nectarine, yellow cherry, kumquat, baked quince, lemon curd, honeysuckle, butter cream, lavender,, dried herbs, fennel, beeswax, honey, chamomile, hazelnut, praline, honey, & wet stones…
It’s textured!!! Waxy & mouth coating, full bodied, round, & opulent.
Alcohol is high at 14.5% ABV — it’s warming but balanced and integrated with the deeply rooted flavors and elevated, vibrant acidity. Yum!!!!!

This was our second bottle. First was uninspiring and despite the 97pt RP rating, found it to be disappointing. The trick is to let it breathe for at least an hour to let the flavors develop. It is no Opus One but very satisfying with a juicy steak or just plain enjoyment! — 8 years ago

1999 vintage. Some frequent guests brought this in and were worried about it having held up. In my experience, this decidedly, old-school producer needs more time than the average bear to come around and show well. Nice fill and great cork. Decanted and tasted after 20 minutes. Throwing a bit of sludgy/powdery sed but very manageable. Slight amount of funk on the nose that blew off within minutes. Wine was a tad flat at the onset but gained strength in the decanter/glass with more oxygen. The fruit, thankyouforasking, was just dandy. Tannins, while still evident, were functioning more like an omniscient narrator. Ridiculous, deep, like just bottled color to this wine. So ridiculous, had to check several times with different lighting/backgrounds to make sure it wasn't my imagination. Beautiful, older premier cru red Burg experience. 9.14.25. — 3 months ago
I see Raspberries and some cherries but not plums as noted on the back of the bottle. Quite harsh. Compared to the Renaissance from Oregon from Jadot - so essentially the same conglomerate on two continents - this is much more light weight and lacks real intensity and interest I would suggest drink up now - reasonable but not more. It was a gift. This will certainly not take cellar space. Softened over night so two more point for Gryffindor. — 4 months ago
In southern Burgundy, at the northern border of Beaujolais, lies the Pouilly-Fuisse appellation. Pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon and lemon citrus with notes of honey and vanilla oak. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity and ends with minerality. Consistent quality! Nice! Good value! — 5 months ago

Pleasant butterscotch, but lacking a little. — 7 years ago
Deep Ruby red color, blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a splash of Petite Sirah, with aromas of dark fruit, floral and oaky herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet currants with cacao and espresso notes. Full-body, good balanced, fine tannins on a medium+ finish ending a bit spicy and oak character. Nice Value! — 3 months ago

Stunning, really. Still fresh and fruity, but with impeccable balance. Wish I had more! — 7 months ago
We had the 2012 Vintage on 2/14-15/25. An excellent Syray with tastes of blackberry, plum, mocha, leather and spice. As time went on the bouquet developed eucalyptus. Full bodied, New World. Fruit forward. I’m glad I gave it 13 years in the bottle. — 10 months ago

A delightful Brut with the crispness of pear and green apple accented with strawberry and raspberry. A nice rose to celebrate my nephew's 1st birthday and to enjoy on a sunny Sunday. — 6 years ago
