Maybe a wee bit past prime, but truly wonderful. — 10 months ago
Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.
Nice fruity nose with black plums, blackberries, light herbs, light oak, light barnyard and vegetables.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, coffee, earth, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.
Spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Single Vineyard is nicely balanced and rich. Tasty and enjoyable by itself.
A blend of 98% Syrah with 2% Grenache. Aged in (31% new) French oak barrels for 20 months.
14.2% alcohol by volume.

Wine smelled good right out of the bottle but had a bit of astringency on first taste. That went away with some air and decanting. This wine really showed well over a 2 hour dinner. Good fruit without being fruity or jammy and that made it easy to drink. — 9 months ago
Excellent on a stand alone basis or in mimosas!! Slight brioche, caramel, butter, and a hint of apricot. Just as good at bottle opening as it was a couple hours later! — a year ago
Oddly enough had to go to Ohio to drink Ca grapes. Solid Barbera. Let it sit for a bit and when it opens , dam. That’s a good wine — 3 years ago

Quite Chablis like. Just 600 bottles made. Not super complex. More on the subtle side. Lemon and touch herbs 🌿. 12.8%. One of the the producers which are on the burgh side of the spectrum. — 8 months ago
