Needs 3 years in bottle. Double decanted and was a nice dusty blackberry front, a little darker and floral in the middle. Finish is also quite floral, still rather acidic and lots of stiff oak tannin. Dusty and shale stone rich finish. Enjoyable classic Rutherford cab that doesn't try to be something it isn't. Excellent roussanne from Maggie Harrison at Antica Terra. Nose has great notes of honeysuckle and other aromas that I can only describe as classic roussanne (because I’m just not good enough to ascribe aromatics). The palate has a terrific oily character to it, but was dominated by primary, relatively unevolved flavors. Still really good, but I suspect this is going to get so much better with a few more years in the bottle. Let it sit. — 9 years ago

Smooth, a hint of dark cherries. Delicious! — 9 years ago
Came in 2nd in a little wine tasting I conducted! Nice nose and very refined. Good cherry and plum flavors, but lacked depth and boldness. Not bad, but expected more at this price range. Actually think this would be better if you Pnp versus decanting for an hour. Wish it showed better. — 9 years ago
Great Shiraz from Barossa with great ageing potential. Big core and good tannins, with a floral, spicy, and botanical nose. The pallet exhibits dark vibrant raspberries, black pepper, bay leaf, burnt espresso bean, and silver dollar eucalyptus toward the lingering finish. I still find the RWT to be more my style, in comparison to this beimg more lean in structure and spicy in character. It was a bit less extracted which for some is preferable, but every so often I enjoy more of a rich extracted style of wine. Overall, great effort and I would like to see this one in a few more years.
Cheers!

As usually happens in life we sometimes have great surprises... this guy is a prime example of that..an increadable value coming out of the great down under. Dark plum acetone and spice to the nose. Slightly sweet plum dark fruit followed by licorice spice pepper to the palate. Nice mouthfeel but a bit watery on the back end. Velvety tannins and a med plus finish. A very enjoyable experience at an amazing value. — 8 years ago
