Light yellow in the glass.  Nose of petrol, citrus, and  a herbaceous note.  Palate showed dryness that was precise and refreshing.  Citrus oils, Lime, unripe stonefruit, and white flowers.  Significantly drier than the 89 Spatlese I have tasted, but again this did not disappoint.  The wine shows less of its age and more of a different style of winemaking.   — 10 years ago

Not sure why the ratings on this are so low. This is quite good with rich, bold and ripe fruit. Earthy with plum, boysenberry and blueberry. Don't hate on Austrian reds. This is really good. — 10 years ago
