Iām not usually a cab fan but this one is hard to resist. Deep garnet color; lots of legs and a big fruity flavor. ā 7 years ago
Very good low budget Zin, much better than some twice the price point.
Sweet with lots of spice... ā 8 years ago
Great wine. Long finish with notes of cherry and spice. Will certainly continue to improve with age. ā 8 years ago
By the glass with lunch, no formal notes. First time ever trying Khikhvi and I can imagine this is how wine was made 1000 years ago. Obviously extended skin contact with a copper salmon color. Funky fresh nose and complex on the palate with all sorts of interesting fruit and non-fruit things going on. Acid and tannin providing good structure. Certainly a change of pace and quite enjoyable actually. ā 5 years ago

Nice lifted fruit, quite smooth. ā 8 years ago
A savory juicy textured herbal food pairing champ. Like cooking sous-vide with an immersion circulator, what was once a geeky oddity has found a permanent home on our table. Not a universal solution, but really the right tool for the job in certain situations. Like pan seared halibut with fennel or spring vegetable risotto. ā 8 years ago

Modest oakiness. Not bad at $17. ā 8 years ago
Wonderful wine with mussels in a white wine sauce. ā 8 years ago
I love this wine. I love this wine because it exists all the way at the 'painstakingly clean and precise' end of the skin-contact spectrum. Don't get me wrong, I love the super-natty wild and wooly and of the spectrum too. But this. This is so purely and exactly what it sets out to be. And I love it. ā 9 years ago
