Complex yet very drinkable GV. Minerality, creaminess and a gentle bitterness in the finish. — 6 years ago

Hands down my favorite GV I’ve ever had. Went really well with spicy tortilla soup. Mmm. Mouth watering freshness and crispness. Will be buying a few more bottles indefinitely. — 6 years ago
Light and simple Austrian GV — 7 years ago
This 2010 GV is the newest addition to the „aged 7 years in large barrels“ line by Nikolaihof. Still very young, many primary fruit aromas underlined by a very subtle oxidative note. Very complex, still shows good aging potential. Needs air. — 8 years ago
Super textural. Powerful but oh so elegant in its composition and poise. This is the spicy/vegetal side of GV. Fresh peas, legume, white pepper, MINERALS, yellow plums, blossoms. No botrytis just super clean and focused. A little wound up this really can use a quick decant. — 9 years ago
Holyshit. ...just had this with the seared tuna app that had a lemon vin and there are serious fire works going on in my mouth. I had the food before the wine showed up so curious how the gv would be solo but right now I'm happier than shit that I didn't order the btl of chenin I was eyeing. Slightly oily viscosity that I dig. Not as earth shattering with the sea bass that followed. Still WOW! — 9 years ago
Fabulous GV - long taste of herbs, citrus and buttery notes — 6 years ago
ripe pear, pineapple, long finish, great 12 year old GV — 6 years ago
Really lovely. Rich fruits, but balanced with Central Otago earthiness. Just perfect. — 7 years ago
Slow O for 10 hrs. Pretty Cabernet nose and delicate, elegant palate. Nice balance but feels really light. Almost no tannin. Not what I expect in a Kap GV. Vintage specific, I suppose, but the 2011 Roberta’s from last night had much more tannin. Very food friendly wine. — 8 years ago

Crisp, green slightly sourish apple to green veggie taste. First GV, won’t be the last. Clean aftertaste — 5 years ago
